PetSafe Microchip Cat Flap

They send you a few different sized pairs of screws (even though you would need four of the same type) and a completely inaccurate template for drilling/cutting the surface (probably for a deprecated model) where you want to install the adaptor.

Thing worked fine for a couple of years, but for the past six months this cat flap has been eating batteries 🪫 Tried all sorts of different ones, but probably the electronics have aged after a few years, causing this issue. Because of this, your cat can't get inside anymore, which is just sad. I'm going to look for a different brand and model.

I bought the previous model 4 years ago. The manual button that lets you select the passage type (locked, entry, exit, entry and exit) is flimsy, and the clip that holds it in place broke after 18 months. Customer Service sent me a new one, but it only lasted 18 months as well; it just broke again and now Customer Service tells me they're out of stock and the part is no longer made. Advice: switch to the current model!!!!!
