The clicking sound of this PetSafe when it opens as the cat tries to enter is too loud. The cat gets startled, runs away, and doesn't dare to come back in. I hope they design a new one with much less clicking noise.

I bought 2 cat flaps about 2 years ago. I clearly had the same problem as some other people: recently, the cat flap started detecting my cat’s microchip randomly. So I unscrewed a few screws and removed the plastic cover in front of the sensor, and now the cat flap works again. Hope this helps.

Closing takes more than 45 seconds, which gives other cats enough time to get in.
