No Microchip Key
Very well made item but Please be aware that this does not come with the microchip key and its not stated until you receive the item. It must be purchased at an extra cost and that's if one can be found as it seems to be out of stock everywhere So I my cat is unable to use this as if she goes out she is unable to get back in without the chip key
An excellent cat flap
Bought it for my parents to ensure only their cat can get in. They had a problem of neighbours' cats trespassing. Installation was easy and quick, and programming was easy as well. It works well.

Microchip doesn't work during installation
We ordered a cat flap and installed it according to the instructions. The chip is detected and the flap’s indicator lights up green, but it still doesn’t open when the cat tries to go through. We tried adding an adapter as that was supposed to fix the problem, but it didn’t help. Now the neighbour’s cat has moved in as well, since we have to leave the flap on default open…

Battery Bug
Thing worked fine for a couple of years, but for the past six months this cat flap has been eating batteries 🪫 Tried all sorts of different ones, but probably the electronics have aged after a few years, causing this issue. Because of this, your cat can't get inside anymore, which is just sad.

IMPORTANT The plastic in front of the sensor becomes cloudy over time
I bought 2 cat flaps about 2 years ago.
I clearly had the same problem as some other people: recently, the cat flap started detecting my cat’s microchip randomly.
So I unscrewed a few screws and removed the plastic cover in front of the sensor, and now the cat flap works again.

Handy but manual button is flimsy
I bought the previous model 4 years ago. The manual button that lets you select the passage type (locked, entry, exit, entry and exit) is flimsy, and the clip that holds it in place broke after 18 months. Customer Service sent me a new one, but it only lasted 18 months as well; it just broke again and now Customer Service tells me they're out of stock and the part is no longer made.

Ineffective
Bought new, and right from installation, there was no way to activate it. Both of my cats' chips are connected and recognised by the cat flap, but it refuses to open. The pins blocking the door from outside to inside don't lower, so it's useless. The only solution: leave it completely open, which basically turns it into a regular cat flap that doesn't filter any animals, making it a very expensive option for what it does.
