NFOs in love
Our two Norwegians love this fountain. It was the only fountain we could find that our male would not try to tip over (in total we spent £100 trying to find the right one!). Don't think he did not try though! The fountain is nice and heavy, and he soon learnt that no standing and pulling at the top lid even worked. Cleaning is easily done, the tube I clean with a small bottle brush. I top of the water every day and change it once or twice a week. Both cats drink so much more now that they have this lovely heavy fountain!

Excellent product
We have a very silly Siamese who refused to drink from anything but a small glass of water on the kitchen table. We worried about his kidney function being less as he didn't drink anywhere near enough water. Since buying one of these he now drinks way more than he ever did before and it's ease of cleansing and design are brilliant. I love the shape and design, a very good purchase indeed. Our other cats love it too.

Brilliantly quiet
My 2 year old persian has just come home after a 10 day stay in hospital with a kidney infection. I invested in this fountain hoping this will encourage him to drink more water. He's a very fussy little thing but he took to it straight away and is drinking a lot more water than usual. Very easy to assemble. I would say due to the heavy nature of the ceramic cleaning it can be a bit of a handful but it's all worth it once you plug it back in. I am constantly shocked at how quietly it operates - virtually soundless. All in all it's a fantastic product and a great way to encourage your pets to have more water!

my cat Emma would not spill,or try to pull apart.
The Lucky Kitty does the job. All of my three cat's Emma,Bree,Pip love drinking from the Lucky

Very happy with this water fountain
Thanks for the review from Lady Shadwell (24/08/10) I followed those instructions and it works perfectly! Silent and clear water.
I refresh the water completely every second day and my siberian kitten loves drinking from it and playing with the water stream. I will admit I was disappointed at first, but I hadn't set it up correctly. After reading Lady Shadwell's review I searched in the box and found further instructions that I'd missed when I first unpacked it. Moral of the story, you will hate this if you don't set it up correctly.

Cat Fountain
This fountain is fab. I have replaced the pump once but this is acceptable as you do not need filters. My only gripe is you should be able to buy a replacement plastic tube which runs from the pump to the fountain but I have not seen this to buy. if the tube splits then thats it. Zoo plus please advise the manufacterers of this. My Tia loves it so would not want to be with out it.

a life safer for both of my cats
I have been using the Lucky Kitty fountain for little over two years, it has been a life safer for both of my cats. They drink sooo much more water now. The perfect tool for cleaning tubes is a tube brush.

Brill Fountain
My husband and I are both really pleased with this fountain. It is easy to clean and easy to set it up and the fact that it does not need any filters and is made of ceramic, made this the perfect choice for our 2 dogs and 4 cats. One of my cats had a bladder infection so wanted to encourage her to drink more water which it seems to be doing. One more bonus about the fountain is the fact that it is very quiet when in use, so does not frighten my lovely bunch. I would highly recommend it.

Too much noise
I know some people say this does not sound at all. Mine does. I have to turn it off at night because it keeps me awake. I have tried all kinds of things but still there is too much noise. The fountain for sure is nice and my cats love it but I wish it would be so quiet that everyone says it will...

How to avoid the noise
Having read all the other reviews, I can understand now why some people said it was noisy. It took me a while to figure it out on my own, as the instructions came in german! Zooplus needs to provide instructions in English.
First of all, the pump needs to be fixed right in the middle of the bottom bowl, othwerwise, noise ensues. The wire needs to be quite loose inside, bu still straight, so the pump is not pulled out once the top plate is placed in. The water needs to be about 2 inches high on the top bowl, once it goes down this level it starts to make noise. I wash the pump once a week, opening all the parts and washing it thoroughly. I top up the water level everyday with cold water. All of these easy steps guarantees my cats' fountain is always clean and silent. My cats really like it and i am no longer the buttler oppening sink taps for them. Highly reccomended.

Kittenrific
Having never had a fountain before, I was somewhat sceptical, but on receiving this fountain just 3 days after placing the order, I am very very pleased. It is very easy to assemble (even with the German instructions) and is TOTALLY SILENT. My babies all love this and have taken to it straight away. I am very suprised at how much they are drinking. 100% recommend, actually 150%!!!! oh and it looks lovely as well!

Kitty tastic
This is the 1st cat fountain we have purchased. We have just got kitties and I after reading lots of reviews thought that they would enjoy some fresh airated water. Nibler (selkirk rex/bsh) took to it straight away he was lapping it up off the ripples first and then he got more confident and sat drinking from the fountain part, Tinkerbell(BSH) wasnt so sure, shes really tiny and very timid she watched her brother slurping but couldnt bring herself to drink so we left it for a couple hours and then finally she started drinking :)
It is silent apart from the water trickling, its so easy to set up, you stick the pump on the inside of the bottom bowl then connect the pipes and power(simple picture instructions on the box you will also receive an adapter if in the UK), fill with water and sit and watch your kitties enjoying some lovely cool water. It is a large bowl and dominates the cat feeding area. Very impressed with zooplus on a fast delivery and a great price.

great!
i bought this for my two cats because one of them suffers from struvit crystals. he loves drinking from the tap so i was hoping this would encourage him to drink more during the day when im not at home.
after reading all the reviews on other international zooplus sites it was down to this one or the drinkwell. i decided to buy this fountain because theres no need for new filters and it seems more hygenic
both cats got used to it straight away, even our puppy drinks from it.
its bigger than i expected and its very heavy(at least they cant move it)but its silent and the good thing is that you can just pop it into the dishwasher.
there are two bad points:first of all the pipe should be a bit longer, its tricky to put everything together
second, because both parts are ceramic, the top tends to rattle and be noisy but if you stick a bit of blue tack on the edges of the bottom part the problem is solved
im very happy with the purchase so far and would highly recommend this product

Definate Brownie Points
First water fountain I have bought. Like the idea that there are no filters to keep buying and dish washer safe. Better still it is virtually silent. I keep checking the water is still flowing and it is!!! My Bengal thought it was a great piece of kit. Handy to drink out of & also for washing paws!

Fantastic all round!!!
I cannot stress enough to everyone who is thinking of buying a water fountain how brilliant this particular water fountain is.
I have told all my feline loving friends about it. It's so easy to assemble, dishwasher safe, no more expensive filters to buy, contemporary in design and for-most it's amazingly quiet, which was an issue for me.
I have three very nervous cats of all ages, but amazingly it took a day or two for their approval and they love it.
I definitely would recommend this product a 100%, it's not cheap, but well worth the money.

Better than any other!
This is well worth the price you pay for it and my cats love their new drinking fountain. As long as you clean it every week, there is no problem with clogging. Also to make sure the ceramic top is in place , maybe a little fine tweaking to prevent any rattling.

Brilliant !!!
Fountain just arrived today,& was easy to assemble, even though the instructions unfortunately are in german.
(you'd have to be an idiot not to be able to assemble it though,as it's that easy !)
My cat came to invesigate when i called her,had a nosey,& drank from it straight away.
We have used another type of fountain, that is just over 18 months old now,& it was all pitted & marked on the plastic, from the constant water flow.
I can easily see from other reviews that this will not happen with the lucky kitty fountain,as it is ceramic,& certainly looks like it'll be a lot easier to clean,as there are less parts to it.
Plus points so far,..it's soooooo quiet when it's running,no more filters to buy at nearly seven quid a packet,& Tiffin obviously thinks it's good enough to drink from.

The best fountain for cats
I have tried all the other water fountains with my cat - but this is the best by far.
Designed for a cat to use - and allows them 3 different ways to from it. (Others makes seem to be designed for dogs).
No expensive filters to by.
Very hygienic .
Made of ceramic - so very very easy to clean - even in the dishwasher.
The quietest fountain I have ever used.

Stylish and functional
I have been looking for a water fountain to encourage my cat to drink more as she suffers from kidney problems, but did not want something in the house that looked cheap or tacky. This is fantastic. It looks good and is very weighty so can't be pushed around the floor by her and whilst I have not actually seen her drink from it, I am having to top it up. Only drawback all instructions were in german,so I can back to the website to print Zooplus's summary.
