Best of the best
My cats lol love it.when the pump broke after 2 years of working 24/7, they refused to drink from the normal bowl for the first day... Very easy to clean, cats cannot trip it, replacable parts available, just perfect. The only thing I do not use is filter as I noticed surprisingly that water's smell and cleanliness is better without it.

Excellent
My Hanni was struggling with standard bowls, they were all too low and she would splash half the bowl onto the floor every time she drank. She would also swallow air while drinking, leading to an upset stomach. Just installed the lucky kitty fountain and she loves it, and isn't burping or sneezing after drinking anymore. It's a little louder than I expected so have gone for 4 stars, but it is a bit lighter than I thought it would be so overall very good.

Brilliant for Bengals
Like many Bengals our cat loves water so as well as drinking it, he plays in it constantly. The fact that the base is so heavy is a big plus as Bengals are renowned for tipping over water bowls at every opportunity. So far this has stood up to a 5 kilo boy teetering on the edges of it while fishing in the pool.
Even with the constant play, the water stays very fresh and clean (used with the filter) and as yet we haven't experienced any issues. We have had 3 different fountains before and all were incredibly fiddly to clean with numerous separate parts to disassemble so by comparison, this is very straightforward. We use the brush from a Camelbak hydration pack to clean everything as its designed for flexible tubes.
Definitely worth the money. Its very quiet and doesn't leak as long as you don't overfill it.

very good but it is heavy so taken one star off
*******firstly i would say defo buy the filter. i have had this for about a year, and for the first time used it without the filter and it really makes a difference.
*******wont go and repeat what has been said but will tell you how i clean it
*******toothbrush to get into all the little bits.
******defo take the pump bits apart. they really need cleaning - but its easy. the tricky part is the magnetic thing!
******i have found for the tubing, i get one of the thin sticks that you get with the bottles of fragrance oils for you home (clearly an unsused one! then i get a small bit of microfibre cloth. has to be REALLY thin. i hv found the best material to be a spec cleaning micro fiber cloth. cut out a small square, then i push it in with the stick and pull it out the other end and it cleans it brilliantly! the stick is slighly too short (well one i have) so you need 2 or something else to poke the rest through.
******it is heavy, but my kitten kept knocking the others over. he loves it and uses it all the time! ******** the electrical lead is short. too short!

Too fiddly
The tube between the pump and the nozzle is too short and too soft. When the top is put on the base it often kinks and there is no water flow, it can take a long time to be able to get the tube to allow a flow. Not bad, the cats like it, but it really is a pain to put together.

Very quiet and cat loves it
I was un sure wether my cat would take to this,at first he didnt as it was flowing too fast but once on its lowest setting he loves it and his cat litter is always wet how it should be unlike before with a normal bowl. Also i cannot hear this at all and its right outside my bedroom door. I would recommend this to people.

Happy Cat
Bought this drinking fountain mainly because it was a 'non filter' one, and reviews looked promising. Plus it looked quite sturdy. Assembly was easy enough. The instructions easy to follow. Once filled with water, I was a little disappointed to find that the actual fountain bit does not really flow like 'a fountain', but about an inch upward until it flows into the bowl for 'recycling'. Anyway, with great anticipation brought Jet to the bowl, she looked quite nervous, looked at it and ran away! However later decided further investigations were merited. With great courage she took a lap from the bottom of the fountain, Yay! She has now drank from all areas of the fountain very happily. The ceramic bowl is very easy to clean, as are all the parts's. The motor is so quiet I forget it's on. Jet continues to enjoy this water fountain, and I am very pleased that I purchased this particular one.

Success
My cat developed urine problems and the vet recommended a water fountain to try and help him drink more. I read previous reviews and instead of purchasing this one bought the Drinkwell 360 Cat fountain, recommended by one of the other reviewers; it was a disaster. He hissed at it, refused to go near it and not once drank from it. It was an expensive purchase and left me somewhat despondent about water fountains, especially with the addition of filters etc.
In the end I decided it would be worth giving it another go and purchased this one. After he showed some mild interest, he again went nowhere near the fountain and I thought that we were walking the same path as the first, but thank goodness he started drinking from it a day or so later, I'm so happy with the purchase now, especially as I am in the knowledge he is drinking water. It's extremely quiet, looks good and the cat likes it most importantly.

Well made...but they think it's a toilet!
I bought one of these for my two Maine Coon kittens, who love to play with water in the sink and shower. The first hour was great, they played and drank and drank and drank....until one of them climbed up on top and peed in it. After several pee episodes, I have now had to put this away.
A shame, it is very quiet (literally you don't hear anything) and very well made. It's porcelain so it's very heavy - which means they cannot tip it over, which is great. However, this means that cleaning it can be really awkward (which is why I end up putting it away).

We all love it!
My previous cats never seemed to drink much water. I had never heard of cat fountains until we got two new kittens recently and I was browsing the web looking for goodies to spoil them rotten with! I saw the cat fountains and dismissed them thinking they were gimmicky. However, our two new little bundles of fluff and mischieviousness didn't seem to drink much either - or not from their bowls at least but as soon as we went to the loo they were in the bathroom asking for the taps to be turned on. I decided that a fountain might not be so gimmicky after all!
After much searching and comparing, I decided I wanted not plastic (can cause cat acne, also potentially easier to knock over), not expensive (not convinced it's a gimmick) and not noisy (because it would be in my office where I spend most of my time and the kittens are generally wherever I am).
I liked everything about the Lucky Kitty except the price. However, you get what you pay for and it would be cheaper to buy one good fountain that did the job no hassle than to get a cheaper one that I wasn't happy with and have to replace. And if they used it, it would be worth every penny. I decided to "splash out" on the Lucky Kitty.
Well we just love it! It hasn't stopped the kittens coming to the bathroom asking for the taps to be turned on but they don't do it as much. They are always drinking from the fountain - from the spout, from the waterfall and from the puddle. They've just come back from a few days at the cattery and the first thing they did was head straight to their Lucky Kitty.
It feels solid and sturdy so they don't knock it over but it's not too heavy to clean - no more than a small casserole dish. I was a bit wary about assembling it, it seemed a bit too easy but it really is - it's very simple. But best of all is the noise - or lack of it! It is super-quiet, I would say about half as quiet as the fan on my computer. Even when the computer is off, you can hardly tell the Lucky Kitty is running.
So all in all, I highly recommend it.

Sleek looking!
I spent ages looking for a contemporary fountain and reading reviews, and I think this is definitely the most attractive on the market. It is very simple looking but classy, love the fact it's ceramic as it's a quality piece (the plastic ones are a nightmare to clean and can cause acne in cats, plus they do look cheap!) and it doesn't need filters....hurrah! You do need to put more water in than the instructions indicate though. Check if you turn it off that there is a reasonable pool of water in the 'splash pool' bit at the bottom so if you leave your house and the pump should fail, your cat will always have access to some water. One of my cats took to this immediately, the other has sniffed it (I only received it today. so early days). I'm already thinking of buying another one though! The only draw back to this is fitting the tube (very fiddly) and I'd have liked to have had a deeper splash pool area. Zooplus, please stock the funky mats and other accessories that they sell on the lucky kitty site, I'd like to buy everything from one place!

what a good buy
we needed a replacement for our cat's drinking fountain. But we wanted one that could be cleaned and set up quickly again with no fillters to mess with. The lucky kitty filled all our requirements and we were so supprised with the speed of the delivery service
Thank you

Excellent! High quality, well-designed, stylish!
This is an excellent product and I'm delighted with it. I think ceramic is much much better than plastic for hygiene, and I'm happy that there's no filter as I believe they work out expensive in the long run and can potentially harbour bacteria. The Lucky Kitty fountain is perfect. It's designed specifically for cats, and it's beautifully simple, whilst also being very substantial and almost silent. It takes a little getting used to when fitting it together, but once you have the knack it's really easy and the cleaning is a 2 minute job - just take it apart, wipe, rinse and reassemble. It's a little more expensive than other fountains, but I think its quality makes it the best value for money. Worth every penny! :)

Amazing!
I eventually bought this fountain after trying virtually every other option for my extremely fussy cat. She used to be a bathroom tap drinker, wouldn't drink from a bowl. We tried another kind of fountain but it was very noisy and put her off. So when i saw this fountain and read the positive reviews i thought it looked perfect...and it is! She took to it right away, and drinks lots..it's amazing! I think she likes it because it feels like the ceramic of the sink.
The fountain itself is very simple to put together, and also to take apart and clean. No filters to change, and it's so quiet you don't know it's there. Don't be put off by the price, this is a quality fountain, and i wish i had got it years ago.

2 years old and still going
Thought I would write the review as this has been a fantastic purchase. We have 7 cats so need lots of accessible water. The fountain has served well. I bought mine 2 years ago and it is still going strong. I do a proper clean of the pump fortnightly and in between change the water and just rinse the pump. Highly recommend as a good investment.

Changed my cats' drinking habits for the better
It is surprising how quiet this drinking fountain is and once you have got to grips with the plastic tube, it is easy to clean. We thought our elderly cats would not take to it but they were both drinking from it daily after less than a week. I used to wonder what they drank before as I never saw them drink from the bowl of stagnant water I used to put out for them! Word of advice - put it down on the floor and put the top on BEFORE you fill it up with water :-/

Good but you must have patience
Purchased this fountain for my cat. The only problems I have with it is that the lid is difficult to get on and off and that the rubber seal around the bottom of the bowl kicks up at the front when placing the top lid over the bottom bowl. I would have also preferred it if the lead connecting to the pump was not submerged in water. I also feel that the rest of the lead which is not in the water is trapped by the top lid which covers the bottom bowl. Apart from that the rest of the lead just hangs but the pump is very quiet and my cat absolutely loves drinking from it.

Paws up for fountain!
I received this as a gift. My previous fountain was light, being made of plastic. I had given up trying to use it because my very energetic cats simply dispersed the water all over the kitchen, scooping it up from the well, and frequently upturning it. This one is brilliant - nice and heavy so it has never been overturned, and no well, so no happy splashing over the kitchen. I change the water every day and give it a proper clean once a week and it has never become clogged up. All of my cats use it, from the old boy to the young one, and it has definitely encouraged them to drink more.

Absolutely delighted with this product
I did quite a lot of research on various cat drinking fountains before settling on this one. On looks alone, it would not be a winner but look beyond that, and you have a winner of a watering fountain. I read the reviews and noted the negative comments but felt the kind of things that were being moaned about could easily be managed (excessive noise from the pump/vibration/silting up etc.) quite simply by applying a little common sense (and I was right). If you maintain it as you should, clean it regularly and thoroughly, then you will not get anything clogging up. Use a soft toothbrush on the pump mechanism and although I haven’t personally found any ‘’gunk” in the tube (as described by Kate 15/12/10) if I did, then I would use a cotton wool bud or similar to clean – however I suspect this buyer did not keep on top of changing the water or cleaning it regularly as this is the only reason something would become ‘clogged’ up. The other plus to this fountain is that there are no extra costs which was one of the things that put me off others (having to buy filters etc.) plus the clean, ceramic bowl is perfect for animal use with absolutely no danger of any kind of chemical contamination associated with certain other materials and plastics. My cat was a little unsure at first but within 24 hours, she was happily and regularly drinking from this fountain – and the best bit is, it has stopped the practice of her jumping up on the work surface to drink from the kitchen tap. As a very fit, healthy 17 year old house cat with a diet of dried food, it is crucial that she has a readily available water source at all times. This purchase has put my mind at rest that she now has this – I would highly recommend this product. Oh by the way, it would appear that the supplier has taken note of the comments in respect of the German only instructions and now included English ones too. Perfect!

Stylish and Practical
This product looks much better than other cat fountains we have tried, and is significantly easier to clean. It is also virtually silent which is a big benefit when you live in a small bungalow like I do!
The cats immediately worked out what it was for too. Absolutely no complaints!
