This cat litter has its fans, with some praising its clumping ability and odor control. However, many users found it tracks all over the house, sticking to paws and requiring constant cleaning. Some cats even refused to use it, and others noted a change in formula making it messy and hard to clean. Despite this, a few still appreciate its eco-friendly nature and long-lasting qualities.

Best Ever Cat Litter

I have tried every cat litter on the market - this is amazing, there is no odour problem and I have a keen sense of smell. It clumps well and does not stick to the tray. I have 8 cats. This litter is brilliant. Good news that it can go in the compost bin too.

Fantastic cat litter!

Great product! Pleasant light natural wood chip scent, disguises unpleasant odours well. Easy to clean litter tray. Each morning I remove solid waste from litter and flush down the toilet. I filter the remaining litter through a litter lifter original scoop (excellent product) into another empty plastic litter tray. The wet litter will have formed a clump at the bottom of the first tray and this I scoop into the compost bin, then I rinse and allow the tray to dry, ready for use the following day. Previously I used clumping clay litter, which wasn't so good at masking odours and could only be disposed of in the refuse bin thereby incurring further cost.

Fantastic

Great litter. My cat loves it and so do I! It is low dust, low odour and biodegradable. Tracks a bit but not terribly. Clumps like a dream (make sure you get a scoop whose holes are neither too big nor too small!) and very economical because it does not have to be changed often and no clean litter is wasted.

Fantastic litter

We would highly recommend this. It lasts such a long time and completely hides any smells very well too. We bought a 40litre bag 7 weeks ago for our 2 kittens and haven't even used half of it yet. Brilliant product and zooplus have the most competitive price for it

no nasty smells

Simply the best cat litter ever, deodorises and is very economical. my cats definatly prefer it and I also like that its bio degradable so good for the planet.

Our favourite litter

Really good product. Environmentally friendly because it is made of wood chips, because it is light and absorbs many times its mass, because it doesn't come from Canada unlike most clays and because it is flushable (think dispersible aspirin tablet, it just breaks down into dust when in water!). Also, it does track but no more than others and much less than very fine clay litters, being light coloured poo is immediately visible and, it blocks the smells rather well with no chemicals! Lastly, it is economical as it lasts for really really long so even though the purchase price is higher, we have calculated that it is no more expensive than the cheap brands to use. Awesome product.

Absolutely the best

This cat litter is excellent. Controls smells, clumps beautifully, flushes easily. If you use a good mat next to the tray you'll also get very little tracking. Put a tray filled with this next to your human toilet for convenient disposal, get a nice big scoop like the Litter Lifter one, and then cleaning the tray takes you about 10 seconds. Top quality product and can't recommend highly enough.

Best Oko Plus

I like this product because not only can I flush the clumps down the toilet, I can then empty the tray into the composter. It seems to trap odours well too. There is a tracking problem but its no worse than the most expensive cat litter available and you don't need to use as much as some of the cheaper brands.

Superb

Excellent value and product, very easy to clean litter and lasts soooo long.

Best value, great product

I've been using Cat's best Oko plus litter for almost a year now. I buy the 40L bags and they last about 3 months with my two cats. Pros: -economical, especially in comparison to the most similar product available at the supermarket -excellent clumping -easy to clean - it's flushable, or at least it is in my house. I don't have a garden so composting isn't an option. -light weight compared to the clay kind, which is great when I am doing a full clean of my 2 litter boxes as I wouldn't flush that much at once -long lasting - I only have to fully clean/wash out the litter boxes once a month, it clumps that well -pretty good at disguising the poop smell. The urine smell is non-existant. I scoop the boxes 1-2x a day, and I have one large covered box and one small open one for 2 cats. Cons -does track, especially if the kitties get any of the wet litter on their feet whilst using the box. However, doesn't track any worse than the clay, and it is easily vaccuumed up. I use the litter-catching mats to help with this. -my cats adapted to it pretty quickly -bits do stick easily to bathroom rugs. I have taken to lifting these off the floor between showers. The variety of a similar, vegetable based litter I bougth at the supermarket did have a slightly better scent which concealed every trace of poop smell, but the price compared to the Oko plus just isn't worth it. If the kitties go number 2 whilst I'm home, I know it pretty quickly and I just go and scoop right away. If I'm out at work and it's had a few hours to settle, I only know there is poop there when I scoop. If you're switching litters, it always pays to mix the old with the new whilst kitties adapt.

Love it, very good and the price is affordable!

Very good product Im very happy with it and have just bought another bag. The house does not smell and cat's paws love it, digging and digging :)

Best Cat Litter ever-40L Bag

6 weeks on and still some left in the bag, great product, I have 5 cats using litter tray, no smell, light weight, great value, highly recommended.

Best Ever!

I have been using this for a while now and it is brilliant. The clumping is good and you just scoop out the bits that have been used. Tracking is not too bad and I have the litter trays on rugs which keeps 99% of the tracked bits and then I just hoover the rugs.

Great if you don't mind constant hoovering!

This cat litter lasts longer than any other litter, clumps well and disguises odour. Thats all great but have found the tracking to be pretty bad. Am rather house proud so like to keep a clean ship but found I was having to hoover the cat room and hall at leaf three times a day. It may not help if you have six cats like I have and long haired. For those with less cats I would recommend ir but the tracking was too much for me.

Excellent

I have 4 cats. Can't say enough about this, bought a bag a couple of weeks ago,I don't get that cat urine smell when I walk through the door, don't seem to be using alot of it,I have never seen anything like it, even the urine clumps,it looks like a yellow sponge and you can just lift it out and dispose of it, and the litter is much lighter than the one I'd been using. Highly Recommended.

Performs well

We bought this because our kitten eats her litter - and the regular clumping variety is very dangerous for her. This stuff hasn't caused any problems and I have been really impressed - it's light and fluffy, which means that she manages to cover any business properly, reducing odour. Despite that, it clumps well, making the cleaning easy.

Best litter ever!

This cat litter is the best I ever tried in terms of effectiveness, odour control, price and lenght. Highly recommended!

excellent delivery

ordered this product on Tuesday and received on Friday. Can't fault the delivery. also ordered through topcashback and the "discount" is already showing. excellent company, always try to buy things here before looking elsewhere

it is amazing !!

finally I found the litter I was looking for. it does not smell!!!! at last I can walk in into my bathroom and do not smell cats toilet. all the other I used before where smelly stright after first use no matter how quickly you clean them or how much litter refreshener you use. you can also put cat poo stright into the toilet. I would deffinitelly recomend this one.

A sceptic won over

I purchased this litter based on the review, but to be honest, I really didn't have high hopes. I've never experienced a litter that clumps properly, so I didn't really think one existed! This stuff is magic. With my old clay litter I had to top up a few times a week to keep the pee balls from cementing to the floor of the box. I started using the Cat's Best on the 17th of October. 10 days later and even though I'm cleaning out about 5 - 6 pee balls a day (a wet fed cat is a well hydrated cat!) it looks like I haven't even made a dent in the original amount. Everything is compact, stays together while scooping and never reaches the bottom of the tray which keeps the box clean and smelling like wood chips which is quite agreeable. I'll definitely buy again. I'm intensely frugal so the initial price kind of made me waver, but this stuff is definite value for money.

It's not the same product anymore.

We’ve been using this cat litter for years. Now it doesn’t clump like it should anymore and the litter smells worse.

The best

Our favourite: it lasts a long time, doesn’t leave dust everywhere (like the clay one), and clumps well... Negatives: they track quite a bit – it gets everywhere – and it’s a bit expensive.

Very dissatisfied, used to be better, doesn't clump properly.

The first ones we bought directly at Fressnapf were of higher quality.

Very good cat litter

Great cat litter, the cats are happy, it clumps nicely and smells like wood. The pieces used to be a bit bigger, so now they spread it around the flat more, but it's still good and much better than the original bentonite one.

Excellent!

I've been using this litter since 2011 and it allows me to avoid bad smells in the house because I can flush it down the toilet. It's odourless so it doesn't bother me, and it doesn't contain any toxic substances for my pets. Finally, it's clumping and absorbent.

Not recommended for cats with respiratory issues

It covers smells really well; Makes firm clumps, easy to remove from the litter; It's gentle on the paws, soft, my tomcat liked digging in it. The biggest downside, and the reason I'll stop using it, is that it leaves a lot of dust. My cat has respiratory issues, which came back shortly after I started using this litter. The dust bothered me too, so I had to wear a mask when cleaning/changing it; Another downside is that it spreads easily all over the house.

Clumping litter???

I bought this litter because it was supposed to be very low in dust. But that's really the only advantage! As for CLUMPING litter...???? Every clump falls apart as soon as you lift it out of the tray, or even just shake it a bit on the scoop to let the clean litter fall back into the tray. So better not to shake it and just throw everything in the bin. What a waste! Even my three cats prefer to use the other tray, which still has the "old" type in it. Never again!!!!!

Decline in quality

Less clumping and more dusty, it gets everywhere in the flat, but always has a pleasant smell. The quality has gone down over time (especially with the larger packs of litter).

Disappointed after over 15 years of use

I used to really like this litter and even recommended it to my friends and family, but lately it's just not possible anymore: it gives off a lot of dust that makes people cough, so it must be bad for cats too… and on top of that, my cats get it everywhere! I'm looking for an alternative… unless the many reviews similar to mine convince the manufacturer to go back to the previous version.

No longer forms clumps

I've been using this product for a while and, until now, I was satisfied with its quality, especially its clumping ability. Unfortunately, the last bag is of very poor quality and doesn't behave at all like the ones I used before. The litter no longer forms proper clumps: it crumbles immediately, spreads throughout the rest of the tray, and makes cleaning much more difficult. The difference compared to previous bags is huge, which is why I suspect there's an issue with this batch.

Deep disappointment.

Terrible decline in quality. The manufacturer seems to think that nanoclumps count as clumping now. Time to look for an alternative.

"New and improved"?

I don't know what batch this is, or if it's a "new improved" version, but it doesn't clump. And this used to be our go-to litter, the one we could always rely on.

The furry ones love this litter

All my cats love this litter, so much so that they go wild when it runs out and I have to buy a standard litter until the Cat's Best arrives. It doesn't create dust like regular litters, which is great for the pets' health. Even though it's easier for them to spread the litter around the house because it's lighter than others, it's also easier to clean up. I definitely recommend it, and so do the cats =P

I love it

The litter binds odours well and clumps nicely. The clumps are easy to remove. It has a pleasant woody smell. It often gets stuck in long fur and ends up being spread around the flat, but at least it doesn’t create as much dust as other litters. I’ve tried a lot, and for me, this is the best one.

Cat litter

We’re really unhappy with the last two 40L bags of cat litter. It just doesn’t clump properly. You never get a proper ‘ball’, just loads of little lumps everywhere. We thought the second bag might be better, but unfortunately not.
