Cat's Best Original Cat litter

It absolutely stank!! Did not cover the smell at all and the litter itself had a very strong smell - it felt like I was living in a pet shop, other clumping cat litters do not have this very strong smell. I had to give this bag away on a no waste Facebook group and drive to maxi zoo to get a proper cat litter.

Clumps well but does not cover the odour well and is the worst fir tracking. It sticks to the cats paws in clumps and was all over the house needing multiple hoovers a day. Could not finish the bag it was so bad.

i got this litter based on all the positive feedbacks but from my opinion its absolut disaster, does not clump well and it sticks to the paws and leaves the trace around the whole house like crazy even with a mat under the litter

Wanted to try something more cost-effective than the current litter which, for three cats, was proving expensive. Yes, this litter clumps (previous litter was non-clumping) but it also sets like concrete in the bottom of the litter tray even if just slightly moist. As for the litter scoop - you can't just rinse the litter off, you need a sharp implement to scrape it off. The litter scatters all over the place. You can see exactly where the cats have gone after exiting the tray. Never again.

I used this product for nearly 10 year never had any problems. Zoo plus can check the my shopping history. But this time I must got new formula stuff.What’s like?If you put few drops perfume in it. It will inlarge 10 times the fragrance diffuse whole house. And the smell can last for few days after you remove the litter box. I swear —there’s no any exaggerated for this describe .The stinky makes me get up from my bed to write You can use this stuff for anything else but not for CAT LITTER!!

What have they done to this? It used to be a simple, absorbent cleanable product. Now it sets like glue and cleaning the litter tray is like trying to clean sticky bread dough from a table top. I am going to throw the rest of the bag in the dustbin and buy something paper based.

I bought a bag of this litter because it seemed excellent - organic, clumping and not as expensive as some (though certainly not cheap). I really liked it. Unfortunately, my cats didn't. It was rather amusing, watching them put a paw into the litter try, withdraw it, shake the litter off and examine the paw with an expression of disgust. The litter tray has been unused for a week now (the cats used the alternative tray) and I'm now dumping the stuff and replacing it with litter they will use.

Bought this because I couldn't get 'universal '. When wet it cakes itself to the bottom of the tray (universal just tips out) and requires scraping off. Like all cat litter it gets between their toes and spread on the floor, but this gets everywhere and travels from the utility room to just about every corner of the house. Definitely more hassle than it's worth.

This cat litter WAS fantastic. The most recent bag was quite different - much larger pellets which I initially thought would be great as less likely to track out of the litter box. The problem is the product does not clump AT ALL any longer. It just dissolves into sawdust which then contaminates the rest of the litter. It also smells, which it never did before. Won't be buying again, particularly as I emailed the manufacturer to see if I had just got a faulty batch and they didn't even reply.

My three indoor cats got a very bad reaction from using this cat litter within 3 days of use. They got running eyes and sneezing. I took one of them to the vet as he was very bad. Following treatment he recovered completely. I removed all the cat litter and my cats recovered.

This is dreadful stuff. It gets caught up in the cats' claws and can be found in every part of the house. Mind you, the cats like it because they have great fun scratching up piles of it and spreading them in all directions. Nor is it particularly economical because it forms enormous damp clumps which have to be removed. Much as the cats will no doubt miss their fun, I am going back to Catsan.

I had been using cheap litter from from a value supermarket and an open litter tray for 1 adolescent cat. It wasn't too bad. Then I purchased a jumbo cat toilet from zooplus and some of this oko plus litter. Oh my god...after one use I was convinced my cat had gone to the loo on the carpet, because the smell was awful, I mean it couldn't have been any worse if he had done a poo on my lap. Granted it clumps and absorbs well, but does absolutely nothing for the smell. Perhaps my cat has more foul smelling poo than the other users, or something? Also it tracks everywhere despite having a grated catch tray at the exit of the toilet. It sticks to the paws, fur and every part of the the cat that touches it. I'm not surprised it got stuck in one user's cat's eye. My house is now a mesy smelly place. Fortunately my cat will always look to go outside to the loo before using the tray, but for a lot of people this isn't an option. My verdict..avoid and try something else.

one small kitten and daily scooping and the litter box had to be changed after 3 days...not convinced

do not use this litter, part of the litter got stuck in my cats eye. which resulted in an eye infection. which lead to sugery, during surgrey there were complications with the anaestetic and my cat nearly surcumbed to it. if i hadnt of tryed thi litter, my cat would never have nearly died. be warned!!!

We’ve been using this cat litter for years. Now it doesn’t clump like it should anymore and the litter smells worse.

The first ones we bought directly at Fressnapf were of higher quality.

I bought this litter because it was supposed to be very low in dust. But that's really the only advantage! As for CLUMPING litter...???? Every clump falls apart as soon as you lift it out of the tray, or even just shake it a bit on the scoop to let the clean litter fall back into the tray. So better not to shake it and just throw everything in the bin. What a waste! Even my three cats prefer to use the other tray, which still has the "old" type in it. Never again!!!!!

I've been using this product for a while and, until now, I was satisfied with its quality, especially its clumping ability. Unfortunately, the last bag is of very poor quality and doesn't behave at all like the ones I used before. The litter no longer forms proper clumps: it crumbles immediately, spreads throughout the rest of the tray, and makes cleaning much more difficult. The difference compared to previous bags is huge, which is why I suspect there's an issue with this batch.

We’re really unhappy with the last two 40L bags of cat litter. It just doesn’t clump properly. You never get a proper ‘ball’, just loads of little lumps everywhere. We thought the second bag might be better, but unfortunately not.

I've been using this litter for years, and the last one I bought this month is different. As soon as I poured it, I noticed the colour was darker, but what really surprised me is that it CLUMPS TERRIBLY, nothing like it used to. And on top of that, I've got a 40-litre bag 😓 I don't understand why they do these things, they've lost a customer with me.

Tragic! The worst cat litter I've ever tried. Cleaning it up is a disaster, it doesn't clump. The smell when it comes into contact with waste is unbearable. We couldn't get rid of it from the flat, even after switching to a different litter. A waste of money. I do not recommend it!

Wow, such a strong smell that the whole flat reeked of it. If you’re even a bit sensitive to scents or have asthma, you really shouldn’t buy this. I couldn’t use it.

Disaster, what happened to this cat litter... Clumping is now just a myth, smelly urine-soaked wooden bits are scattered all over the litter box, trying to scoop out the urine is a nightmare, and in no time the box smells so bad that my cat started doing its business around the house. Honestly, this is the worst litter I've ever used—even Benek is better than this one...

The litter smells terribly of sawdust even when unused, and when the cat pees, the odour becomes so unbearable that I have to clean it straight away. I bought 20 litres but I think I'll end up throwing it away.

It used to be the best, now it's dark, creates a terrible amount of dust, and doesn't trap odours. I hoped it was just a faulty batch, but it's been almost a year and it's still bad. I need to find a replacement.

We had been using it for years, but recently the quality has dropped and we had to look for something else. It spreads a lot, doesn't clump well, and starts to smell bad quickly. Unfortunately.

For over ten years, Cat’s Best Original and I were a well-oiled team. For years, I would have sworn by this litter – but what’s been coming out of the bags lately sadly has little in common with the original from back in the day. Instead of the usual top performance, the clumps now fall apart just by looking at them. The absorbency...

The cats don't like it. They don't use the litter box at all.

The bag arrived open and the litter smells bad right away, as if it had absorbed moisture. Plus, it doesn't clump at all. We've been using this brand of litter for a year and this is the first time this has happened to us.

The litter does clump well and is fairly lightweight, but in my opinion, that's the only positive thing about it. It is, in fact, dusty and definitely gets tracked out of the tray. And even though I used a clean (test) litter box and scooped out all urine clumps and faeces thoroughly once a day, after just three days there was already a strong smell of urine outside the litter box, coming from the supposedly "clean" litter grains that were left behind. Unfortunately, not a success for me, so once but never again!

Every day it's more expensive and lower quality. I had been using it for years, but you can consider this customer lost.

With the constant price increases of this product, I won’t be buying it again. It’s a good product, but there are cheaper alternatives that are also very good.

Never had any problems with it, it was always good cat litter. Until the day I needed it, I open the bag and it's all just sawdust... dust, loads of dust. Not good litter like the cat litter pellets should be. Up to now, I still haven't got my money back and I can't return it, even though I suggested it. Really disappointing!
