This cat litter has its fans, with some praising its clumping ability and odor control. However, many users found it tracks all over the house, sticking to paws and requiring constant cleaning. Some cats even refused to use it, and others noted a change in formula making it messy and hard to clean. Despite this, a few still appreciate its eco-friendly nature and long-lasting qualities.

biodegradable clumping litter

With my two cats using the litter-tray, it is fantastic that I can flush the clumps away in the toilet on a daily basis. This way I don't have to renew litter more then once a week while there is never a bad odour in the house

Incredibly dusty!

I wouldn't recommend Cat's Best Oko Plus litter to those who are sensitive to dust/are asthmatic. This litter tracks all over the place, and I mean, absolutely everywhere in the house. I have had chronic chest infections and bronchitis-like coughing whilst using this litter. Soon after I stopped using it for a while however, my chest was a lot better. Then I used the litter again several months later and the chest congestion came back, just like the last time. That's how I finally made the link. Other than that, yes Cat's best is economical and is a great clumping litter--just not meant for dust-sensitive people, furry and otherwise.

Cat's Best Oko Plus

This is THE most amazing product - it really is flushable, odour is much reduced and it can go in the garden waste bin.

Brilliant!

I had a problem with tracking - even finding bits of litter upstairs! Now it just tracks a little around the litter box, therefore much easier to keep clean. I use an extra large scoop, once a day with a top up if necessary, and now only need a complete litter change once a week. It works out cheaper too as one 10l bag (£7.99) will last two weeks (2 cats) instead of four 10l bags of ordinary stuff (approx. £12 every two weeks).

Best Litter I've found.

This stuff is great! Really good at clumping and odour control. There is a slight issue with tracking but no more so than with any other fine-grain litter. Would definately recommend. The fact that you can flush the clumps or compost the litter makes it so easy to dispose of.

The best I've used so far

Best clumping litter I've found. Makes it easy to scoop out - and flushing down the toilet is much easier than bagging and binning. In the summer this will avoid the dustbin being a no-go area due to smell. Can't understand the comments about clumps being too soft to take out. A standard scoop picks them up and the unused litter falls through the holes.

best litter i've found

As a veterinary nurse i tried virtually every litter on the market, until I found this one. Its clean, hygenic, easy to use and works out less expensive than most other brands. There's a little tracking but it doesn't mark carpets or smell and is easy to pick up. Added to the reliable delivery from zooplus and the fact that I can buy a huge bag and not carry it home from the shop, this litter is my favourite. I have used it for 6 years now.

Little dust!

I started using this when I had my previous cats who in later life became an indoor cats due to illness - one of whom was asthmatic and the other litters created too much dust which didn't help. They took to it quickly and loved to dig in it. It lasted a long time and although expensive produced less waste and so you use less. My current cats use it as I had some left in the cupboard so used up the bag. One cat is an indoor cat and it is the preferred choice with him as he likes to eat the scented ones!!! The other cat is happy with anything as long as she can dig in it!

A good product

One star lost for the tracking (I have found bits far and wide) but generally speaking this litter lasts and stays fresh for ages.

Excellent litter

Great at clumping, easy to clean out. Easy to dispose of in the toilet. Controls odour. On the negative side, the cats track it out of the litter box, but it's easy to vacuum or sweep up. I would recommend this product highly. 10 litre bag is enough for 2 litter trays, but a larger bag is better.

Use up other litter.

So good you'll never want to go back to ordinary litter ever again, so use up any old stuff before you start using this. If you do have some old stuff left over, it can be used in the snow when mixed with salt, to prevent slipping!, better than sand etc. Great not to have to carry those heavy bags home too.

Absorbent and flushable but oh! that tracking

I have tried most types of litter since my elderly cat became enforcably housebound; this one is good on absorbency, not bad at odour control, clumps well and - best of all - is flushable but.....due to its light weight it is the worst for tracking (even with the use of a special mat in front of the tray) that I have come across and can be found all over the house, necessitating vacuuming several times per day.

Outstanding litter - every cat owner should get this!

I have tried a variety of cat litters with my two Burmese in the past, with varying degrees of success (and a lot of inconvenience and smell). Due to a recent move, I have had to get my cats used to permanent indoor living in an apartment and I was concerned about the smell of having litter indoors (they normally went to the toilet outside). This litter is outstanding - no smell whatsoever and it clumps perfectly. I was amazed at how well it clumps urine - there is no caking at the bottom of the pan, all urine turns into cohesive clumps/balls. Very easy to to de-clump with a slotted shovel daily - sorting out the cat litter in the morning is no longer an unpleasant chore! There is a little bit of tracking - but no more than any other kind of litter I have used. This is absolutely the most cost-effective litter I have ever used - and I always used to buy the cheapest kind. The base litter in the pan really does last for weeks (as long as you remove clumps daily). Every cat owner should get this litter!!

Best litter ever

I have 6 cats and this is a great litter for multi-cat households. It only needs a full change every week or so and doesn't smell. It doesn't really track either.

Tracking isn't the best but for value, clumping & natural smell minising it's the best

see title. Have been buying it for years & won't use anything else (ok I stretch it with value Fullers Earth sometimes but that's it)

Cat's Best Oko Plus cat litter

No dust. No mess. No smell.

This is really cats best

I have tried many cat littes and this one is my absolute favorite..finally the house doesnt smell as bad as it did with the others....it clumps and can easily be flushed down the toilet and of course its all natural..fab product wont need to test out litters anymore

The very greatiful litter!Recomende for everyone!

Its a very best litter for everyone cats, economical and easy used in your home,my BSH cat love his and I am buy all time and will be buy forever!

Good, but ...

Plus points of Cats Best Oko Plus: 1. My 2 oriental type cats prefer this litter. 2. Natural product, non toxic, safe for my cats. 3. Masks odours very well and has a pleasant, natural woody/pine smell. 4. Clumps well and is easy to deal with. 5. Environmentally friendly and biodegradeable. Minus points of Cats Best Oko Plus: 1. Tracks a lot. Even though I have a large mat by the tray, I am sweeping up bits of cat litter two or three times a day and still finds bits on the carpet and sometimes even upstairs. 2. It is a bit dusty. 3. I find that it does not last anywhere near as long as the manufacturer states. I use a jumbo sized litter tray, which gives my cats room to turn around. It takes 5 litres of litter each time and I change the tray completely every 5 to 7 days. I have read other reviews which advise that you can save the litter after removing the clumps and put it back in the tray after cleaning, but personally, I don't and wouldn't do this. A 10 litre bag lasts my 2 cats a maximum of 2 weeks. I have recently tried the Cats Best Gold litter, which is in pellet form rather than chips, designed not to cling to the fur of long haired cats. I would also give that 4 stars. It does not track anywhere near as much as the original and is not so dusty and possibly lasts a day or so longer between complete changes as it does not break down so quickly, however, my cats don't seem to like the feel of it under their paws quite so much and we have much (noisy) raking in the litter tray and it is a little more expensive than the ordinary Cats Best Oko Plus. Overall, both are good, but have their advantages and drawbacks. You pays your money and you makes your choice.

It's not the same product anymore.

We’ve been using this cat litter for years. Now it doesn’t clump like it should anymore and the litter smells worse.

The best

Our favourite: it lasts a long time, doesn’t leave dust everywhere (like the clay one), and clumps well... Negatives: they track quite a bit – it gets everywhere – and it’s a bit expensive.

Very dissatisfied, used to be better, doesn't clump properly.

The first ones we bought directly at Fressnapf were of higher quality.

Very good cat litter

Great cat litter, the cats are happy, it clumps nicely and smells like wood. The pieces used to be a bit bigger, so now they spread it around the flat more, but it's still good and much better than the original bentonite one.

Excellent!

I've been using this litter since 2011 and it allows me to avoid bad smells in the house because I can flush it down the toilet. It's odourless so it doesn't bother me, and it doesn't contain any toxic substances for my pets. Finally, it's clumping and absorbent.

Not recommended for cats with respiratory issues

It covers smells really well; Makes firm clumps, easy to remove from the litter; It's gentle on the paws, soft, my tomcat liked digging in it. The biggest downside, and the reason I'll stop using it, is that it leaves a lot of dust. My cat has respiratory issues, which came back shortly after I started using this litter. The dust bothered me too, so I had to wear a mask when cleaning/changing it; Another downside is that it spreads easily all over the house.

Clumping litter???

I bought this litter because it was supposed to be very low in dust. But that's really the only advantage! As for CLUMPING litter...???? Every clump falls apart as soon as you lift it out of the tray, or even just shake it a bit on the scoop to let the clean litter fall back into the tray. So better not to shake it and just throw everything in the bin. What a waste! Even my three cats prefer to use the other tray, which still has the "old" type in it. Never again!!!!!

Decline in quality

Less clumping and more dusty, it gets everywhere in the flat, but always has a pleasant smell. The quality has gone down over time (especially with the larger packs of litter).

Disappointed after over 15 years of use

I used to really like this litter and even recommended it to my friends and family, but lately it's just not possible anymore: it gives off a lot of dust that makes people cough, so it must be bad for cats too… and on top of that, my cats get it everywhere! I'm looking for an alternative… unless the many reviews similar to mine convince the manufacturer to go back to the previous version.

No longer forms clumps

I've been using this product for a while and, until now, I was satisfied with its quality, especially its clumping ability. Unfortunately, the last bag is of very poor quality and doesn't behave at all like the ones I used before. The litter no longer forms proper clumps: it crumbles immediately, spreads throughout the rest of the tray, and makes cleaning much more difficult. The difference compared to previous bags is huge, which is why I suspect there's an issue with this batch.

Deep disappointment.

Terrible decline in quality. The manufacturer seems to think that nanoclumps count as clumping now. Time to look for an alternative.

"New and improved"?

I don't know what batch this is, or if it's a "new improved" version, but it doesn't clump. And this used to be our go-to litter, the one we could always rely on.

The furry ones love this litter

All my cats love this litter, so much so that they go wild when it runs out and I have to buy a standard litter until the Cat's Best arrives. It doesn't create dust like regular litters, which is great for the pets' health. Even though it's easier for them to spread the litter around the house because it's lighter than others, it's also easier to clean up. I definitely recommend it, and so do the cats =P

I love it

The litter binds odours well and clumps nicely. The clumps are easy to remove. It has a pleasant woody smell. It often gets stuck in long fur and ends up being spread around the flat, but at least it doesn’t create as much dust as other litters. I’ve tried a lot, and for me, this is the best one.

Cat litter

We’re really unhappy with the last two 40L bags of cat litter. It just doesn’t clump properly. You never get a proper ‘ball’, just loads of little lumps everywhere. We thought the second bag might be better, but unfortunately not.
