Product description

This clever pet feeder uses your pet's microchip to control access to the food. It's ideal for multi pet households or for pets that are on a special diet or need medication.

The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder from Sure Petcare makes sure every one of your pet gets the food it needs, without anyone else eating it all. This innovative, beautifully made feeder recognises your pet's microchip or the SureFlap RFID collar tag (1 included) and it only opens for authorised numbers. It is the perfect solution for multi pet households where it can be tricky to ensure all your pets get their fair share. And if one of your pets needs a special diet or medication it's a great way to restrict access to food. It is also a great way to stop the dog eating the cat's food!

It is simple to scan your pet's microchip into the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder from Sure Petcare. Once the number has been learnt it is stored. You can store up to 32 individual microchip numbers. The lid will only open for microchip numbers it recognises. When your pet has finished and moves away from the feeder the lid closes. You can adjust how quickly the lid closes. The bowls are designed to work specifically with this feeder. They have an integrated seal around the top which helps to keep food fresher for longer.

Take time to teach your pet how to use the feeder. Let your pet to used to the feeder without the lid and then slowly introduce the lid.

It has some realy obvious problems!
The entrance is pretty big and the second cat can easily fit in there and eat at the same time, as you see in pic A! The lid will try to close but with two heads pushing it, it can't. From the back there is so much space that any cat can easily have access, as you see in pic B and this is a so obvious design flow that it is frustrating! I solved those problems with some white carton and hard plastic sheet as you see in pic C. It works but it ain't pretty no more!

Utter waste of money
How can anyone give this product a good review? The overhead sensor is very low and the cat is extremely reluctant to stick its head in far enough to activate it.After three months of training, with the lid fully closed the cat will still not put its head in far enough to open this up. I have been using it with the lid half closed, which doesn't keep the other cat out, but now the lid sticks in the open position whenever it is activated. I don't think the designer has ever owned a cat.

Doesn’t work how it says it should work.
What a waste of money! I bought this for one of my cats. brother always steals her food, this bowl didn’t help one bit. The food is completely accessible from the back, the other cat went for the food instantly and the bowl didn’t even close. The cat registered wasn’t even close to the bowl after being pushed away and it still didn’t close. What a failure it was for 142€. And it doesn’t even come with batteries.

Sure Pet Feeder
Expensive but I am very happy with the feeder - my neighbour's cat used to come and stole all the dry food. Now Olive can have her food just for herself ! Study material and you can wash everything. Expensive but worth it !

Works Perfectly
I noticed that my 12-year-old cat's chip was no longer readable so he got a new one, and since then I have been able to curb his appetite for food thanks to this bowl! He usually stole food away from my other cat but this allows me to control his food intake and allow her to eat also. The bowl recognizes the microchip quickly and opens / closes very quickly. After 2 days of getting used to it, my cat accepted it completely.

Superb Automatic Feeder
We have 2 cats that couldn't be more different. The smaller one likes to eat their food in stages, while the other devours everything in minutes. Of course, we always had to be careful, otherwise she would have devoured what was left over as well. Therefore, the solution was an automatic feeder. When it was delivered I was totally impressed with the handling. I had imagined everything to be more difficult. Since our cat is chipped it was even easier. She started naturally eating from it from day 2.

Feeding is now manageable
My three cats needed to be fed separately as one was overweight. He was eating the food for the other cats. The other two are grazers and were losing weight. Now I can feed all of them tdifferent foods. I put big kitty feeder in a different room as he is aggressive and tries to push the others away from their bowls. But they all learned within a week that the lids open for them. Yes, expensive but so worth it and very easy to set up.

You must have it!
Initially I had been doubtful about this product but I must admit it has solved all my problems. It is well made and the cat of mine it is for has get used in a couple of days. At the beginning it had been scared about the tunnel but a bit of bacon in the bowl has been sufficient. Now the cat is getting better and its amusing when it goes and open the lid!

The best there is!
We needed the Surefeed Automatic Feeder because Mausi needs a special food. Mausi is sensitive, so we started the training program. We stayed in mode 1 for two weeks and when we switched to mode 2 we had to go back to mode 1 immediately. I had almost given up hope, but after almost 8 weeks of training everything is going perfectly and she always has fresh food for herself. I would buy him over and over! My advice: don't give up !!

Recommended investment!
I have a super scared foundling kitten at home, who runs away in panic every time people visit and crouches under the bed. It was therefore always very difficult for us to go on vacation longer, because we never really knew whether our kitten would eat enough. It was not pleasant for any of us. The machine has made life easier for all of us. Our snack eater takes when she is hungry and is no longer dependent on other people to get her food. Great!!

Also perfect for large Maine Coons
I am very enthusiastic about the device. However, you have to know that some care is required. It should be cleaned with a damp cloth at least every other day so that no food remains get into the small cracks and spoils there. Many may wonder if the device is suitable for large cats. Yes it is. It is important that the chip really sits somewhere in the area of the head / neck and not lower.

Safe and great handling
In the beginning, our cat cheated and devoured the food coming behind where the other cat ate and simply ate with it. After calling customer service, we received instructions on how to set custom modes. The machine now closes immediately when the cat's chip is nearby. Food theft impossible! We are very satisfied! Handling and cleaning also very simple and easy, price - performance absolutely top!

Works great!
The device is super easy to program, the operation is child's play and the look is also chic. It's a shame that you don't get the coloured food bowls here as accessories. My cat ate without problems after two weeks. My mother's cat knew after two hours that this thing was a food source. The other cats no longer take any extra food. We are excited. I would be happy to recommend it.

Too bad there is no comment function here
So for the first time ever this is perfect for my three tigers: a feeding machine with diabetes, a cat who likes to eat in stages and a fussy cat. As a rule, all of them are fed well and have enough access to food throughout the day. Except when my thieving husky-mix strikes. Either he unlocks the covers neatly or he programs it himself (once is a coincidence, three times on different machines is a skill) and thus has unimpeded access.

Wonderful parts
The machines are really great. A price shock for 7 cats, of course, but it was the best investment. After a phone call to customer service, I was able to increase the range and activate the anti-intruder mode. Since the machine closes as soon as a second chip is recognized ... Many negative reviews here could have been avoided by a short phone call or an email to customer service (they are super nice) ... A top product that is worth the money !

The best of this type on the market!
I have a cat (18) for whom this bowl is simply the best invention ever. I would advertise this product without restrictions! It's just a shame that here at zooplus you don't get all the accessories, e.g. the attachable hood sets! For all those who keep complaining about food theft from the front, there is an "anti-intruder mode" !!! There is a great video on YouTube. And if you want a ceramic bowl, Google: Sir Fritz oval food plate

Eventually....
Bought 2 of these as have fat boy, Max, (on fat boy diet food) and got 2 kittens (on kitten growing food). Guess which food Max preferred! Kittens took less than 24 hours to figure theirs out. Max is an incredibly scared boy due to being weaned too early and at the grand old age of 12 wondered if he’d ever get it. Ended up contacting the company for advice and after 11 months (!!) we are fully functional. Feeding time is no longer something we dread.

Pet Feeder
I have 2 timid cats and it took them 2 weeks to eventually get used to the full opening of the lid. if you follow the instructions for each setting, it certainly works - be patient and guided by your cats. With our recent hot weather, the food has kept fresh and free from any fly visitors - we all love it. I am very happy with this product and is reasonably priced too.

Brilliant a must have for multiple cats
5 cats, 2 overweight & 3 that graze; each has one & all know which is theirs. The Tortie pulls her tray out looking for more food & looks in other feeders in case they aren’t closed. If opened manually it needs to be closed manually; if cat opens automatically the green light is on & it closes automatically. My big cat needs the tag as his chip is not in the right place due to his size. Cat sitters use these feeders. They are brilliant, definitely recommend for multi-cat households.

Perfect solution for medication and feed quantity control
My cat has to take medication. Our new roommate likes to "steal" for his life, and the cat simply does not get enough food. But now the problem is solved and I can even go on vacation without having to worry that the cat will eat the "drug" treats causing the cat problems. And she had figured out how the device worked before I even had the opportunity to start training mode.
