It’s empty in here!
My 4 lurchers range from 8 to 11 and according to our vet ,at the annual check up last week, they all have excellent teeth. For maybe 4/5 years they have eaten "a bowl" of the Science Plan Oral biscuits in the evening . So,for me, these biscuits really do help with most aspects of canine oral care.
I was advised to use this as part of a dental hygiene, however, my dog hated it. We persevered and gave it to her for many weeks, but then she started to lose weight from not eating so we had to change her to a different food. Would probably suit a dog that was not fussy about food.
The only reason that this food would help to keep teeth clean is because the kibble is massive. My 40kg dog didn't really had to chew them as they aren't that dense so break apart easily. The kibble size would pose a choking risk to medium dogs or smaller as it is about that of a whole walnut
I was advised to get Hill's prescription diet T/D to keep my eldery Shih Tzu's teeth in good condition. It is extremely expensive though, so I tried this one instead. It is a lot cheaper, has virtually identical properties, and the vet says her teeth are keeping well. Thunbs up from us!
I mix it in with there other food and they love it!! It keeps their teeth very clean. Every vet visit he says how great their teeth look.
