I can only agree with all the previous reviewers. Since the change, the new food is no longer being eaten and I won’t be ordering it again either. All the cats loved the old food, especially because of the large chunks, and I felt that it helped with tartar problems because they could actually chew instead of just swallowing. The new pieces are so tiny that they mostly fall out of their mouths. That’s no fun and apparently it doesn’t taste good anymore either.

Why mess with something that both cats and customers were mad about, only to turn it into something they can’t stand? If it’s about the cost, just charge a bit extra if you have to. My cats were obsessed with it and haven’t touched any other dry cat food since – and now they won’t go near ANY Wild Freedom. I’d happily pay more for the original recipe.

I've been using Wild Freedom for a long time, but lately something's not right—the kibble pieces are so tiny (0.5 mm) that they can't be good for healthy teeth. This so-called production error has already been acknowledged before, but I'd rather they actually do something about it. In any case, please go back to how it was before. Then the description here on Zooplus will be accurate again.

My cats used to eat it really well and now they don’t want it since the recipe changed. It was supposed to be just new packaging, but the colour, size, and smell have changed too. It was the only thing my cat actually enjoyed eating. I won’t buy it again. Please go back to the old recipe.

My two Birmans loved this dry food for years. The recipe has changed and the pieces are smaller now. They don’t like it anymore. Very annoying, I’m now looking for a replacement. Won’t be ordering again.

Unfortunately, it’s not just the packaging that has changed, which really annoyed me. There’s no zip closure anymore on the 2 kg and 400 g packs, so you can’t reseal them. But they’ve also changed the recipe, and now my cat won’t eat the food anymore. I think it’s terrible how customers are being treated. There’s no consideration for the reviews or the preferences of the cats. I won’t be buying this food anymore.

My cat eats almost everything. But he doesn’t want this food. Usually, he devoured foods like Wild Freedom and Purizon in no time. I guess they changed the recipe and overdid it. 2 kg of food straight to the bin.

Unfortunately, my cat doesn’t eat the new food. The previous version was the only one she would eat. Now I’m stuck and have to start looking for another food that she’ll like. I was hoping they’d only changed the packaging design, not the ingredients. My mistake for not comparing the ingredients.

We only use dry food as a topping or as treats. And usually, they much prefer it over tinned food, which is why I use it as a topping. Unfortunately, they won’t touch this one at all. They don’t even lick it and spit it out. Even if I throw it for them, they’ll run over, sniff it briefly, and that’s it. I’m really surprised by that. With wet food, it would have been understandable, but with this? Unfortunately, I had several small packets, and now they’re all going to animal welfare.

They've changed the recipe and put in a lot less meat. Plus, they've removed the zip lock from the bag so you can't close it anymore. And now it smells awful!

I'm amazed that there are still people who think that product formulas are actually being "improved". The only ones benefiting from these changes are the manufacturers... You might be able to fool people with this, but you can't fool a cat!

I feel the same way, I was able to buy very good quality for years. My cats love American Woodlands. It seems to have been completely removed from the range. Since then, I’ve tried all the different flavours of dry food from this brand, but my cats turn their noses up at it. The kibbles are too small and they just won’t eat them. Before, my two Maine Coons would get through a whole bowl of dry food a day – they need quite a lot – but now I’m only refilling the bowl, at most, twice a week. It’s really sad, I can’t find any food that’s just as good 😢😢😢

Unfortunately, it seems Wild Freedom has changed all their varieties. My cats used to really like it before. They won’t touch the new recipes at all. There’s no mention of the change on the packaging, which is pretty frustrating for the buyer. So, back to searching for new food...

I can only agree with the negative comments, and for months since the middle of last year I kept checking in here to see if the food with the big chunks was back. Unfortunately, no. So to the manufacturers: you’re really ruining it for yourselves. They’ll eat the small chunks if they’re desperate, but if they’re not really hungry, they just leave them, whereas they used to go mad for the big chunks. Really a shame!
