It’s empty in here!
My young indoor cat loves this, and it's helped control his weight to within healthy levels. I recommend it to anyone whose cat begs for more food than their allowance.
My 2 cats seem to like this food more than the regular sterilized version, which makes them beg more! I'm trying to give them a controlled portion, twice a day at regular times. After 13KG, so far they haven't lost weight, which one of them needs too... But they haven't gained weight either, which is good, since they kept putting on weight with the other food. Maybe what they need is more exercise...
The biscuits are fine and proving popular, easier to pick up for our toothless cat and filling enough for our older cat. However, the 10kg bag doesn't have a seal despite costing almost £45 and lasting months so biscuits are surely stale. This seems very out of keeping with the quality Royal Canin imply and if discount brands can do it why can't they?
My cat is cray about treats and the dry food is also good. He ate it in a min 👍🏻
I tried my one year-old indoor cat on the sterilised cat variant but the vet kept saying he was slightly overweight and he kept asking for more after his allotted allowance was gone. Having switched to this he's gradually losing weight. (He was only about half a kilo over and he's a big cat.) He likes the food and doesn't seem to get bored with it. His coat is lovely and the vet tells me he's in great condition so I'd recommend it.
My cats will eat pretty much anything, and this food is no exception. Haven't noticed significant weight loss (or gain), but one great side effect is that their poop doesn't stink as much! It's definitely doing something to their digestive system as the poop tends to float in the toilet and struggles to get flushed down.
My cats have been on royal canin since kittens we have changed to different products as they have aged, one of my cats is on the large side and needs to lose weight, swapped them to this appetite control and yes he is definitely fuller for longer, doesn't stop him wanting to eat anything he can get, he has lost a little weight but it's a slow process, I'm very happy with the royal canin products 😊
My cat has been on this for while now .. no change to her appetite or weight. she still demands food and she still steals from my other cat. Probably expected too much from this product. But she eats it ok and seems to be a reasonable make.
I have 4 cats and feed them Royal Canin Sterilised but decided to try the "Appetite Control" variant to see if it worked. Instead of controlling their appetite, it had the opposite effect as they were all always looking for more than their daily dose. I will go back to the normal Sterilised.
My vet was today able to confirm that my sweet little baby cats weight had been reduced by a third of a kilo since the end of August to date (October). Even better as she's an indoor only cat. THE BEST DIET FOOD AROUND
Rile loves Royal Canin Outdoor. He adopted us four years ago. This food is perfect for him, he has a lovely coat and has an ideal weight of 4kg. He also has 1 pouch of Royal Canin Instinctive daily. He prefers kibbles to pouches, but eats all of his pouch. The hedgehogs which visited my garden last year loved Royal Canin. This was recommended by the Hedgehog Preservation Trust. There were four babies born in my garage. Two have started visiting this year. They do enjoy Royal Canin!! Excellent value, quick delivery, I am very pleased with Zooplus.
I have two fussy cats who for no reason will just decide not to eat the food I have bought, however since changing to Royal Canin Sterilised they have loved it and no problems. Great to buy food now in 10Kg bags, easy and convenient.
My little, greedy kitty loves this dry food. As soon as her bowl is empty, she wants more. So she gets on well with it but the so-called appetite control hasn't worked with her. Actually the opposite is true: she eats more because she finds it so tasty. I'm now on some other light varieties of RC and Sanabelle and waiting to find out if they will calm her down.
Since we had Snow castrated, he has lost some of his appetite. Now I've discovered Royal Canin and am very happy. He's finally eating his fill. I definitely recommend this product.
I've often wondered whether my castrated tom was getting enough to eat as he was always begging after meals were over. Since I switched to RC Sterilised Appetite Control, he has done a complete "180". No more of the constant begging but instead a full, satisfied cat. Great food ;)
My two cats go nuts over this food variety. The kibble is really small so my cats can safely gobble up their food. Both get on well with this food and have very attractive coats.
I put my cat onto this food and she has lost over a kilo in weight. She loves the food and the vet is very pleased with her.
I ordered this product along with a load of other weight management foods to see what my over-weight 7 year old would like. I add these biscuits to reduced calorie meat and she is definitely eating less, and no longer asking for food. I am following the feeding guidlines on the bag so she only has a handful over the day so this large bag is going to last for ages. Very good value and I would recommend it to anyone who has a cat who always seems to be hungry!
My cat was previously on sensible 33 as she has a sensitive stomach. However she was constantly begging for food and getting a bit tubby. I bought this and have moved her onto this food. Compared to sensible the food is a lot less calorie dense therefore she gets a physically larger portion, her begging for food has substantiallu decreased and she seems to be more full up. Also her stomach has remained settled. Highly recommended.
This pet food was recommended to me as one of my cats is constantly eating and this is supposed to help the appetite reduce, well it took some time and I do have to give him more than it says, but gradually his appetite has settled down, but he is a large cat and instead of eating all his food at once he now has a good meal and then gradually goes back more than once, so it has proven his appetite has slowed down. I do give it to him with sensitive food also as he has a delicate tummy, but would highly recommend it.
