Applaws Kitten - cat dry food

I have 2 rescue kittens, one prefers dry food, they both enjoy eating this. I am happy with the ingredients etc. Affordable also when on offer stock up.

My ferret is eating it and seems like he is enyoing this food. So good product for ferrets too.

We switched to his very high meat content dry food from Royal Canin, this food suits all our Bengals. It did take a good while to move them onto such a high quality food but now they have been established on it for longer than 4 weeks, they eat less and look better. Their coat is shiny. We do rehydrate the kibble and also add wet food into their diet.

My two kittens adore this food, as soon as they hear it being poured into their bowl they come running and devour the lot! Their coats are very shiny and this hasn't caused any tummy upsets which some of the cheaper dry food has in the past. I will definitely be ordering lots more of this!

Mine are pretty lively... So I'm wondering whether my 1 and a half and 3 year olds can also eat this? I've tried so many other dry foods and they don't really like wet food.. GLG

My cats are happy with this and it's great value at this price. I tried Purizon but my cats got obsessed with it and got really fat - difficult to fix with more than 1 cat.

Both of my cats love it - and have done for quite some time! I have not seen any issues in terms of adjustment or compatibility, and if my cats are anything to go by yours will love it too!

Neither of my cats have had any problems - my little 8 month old has been eating it for a while now and is developing into a fine specimen! They always lick the bowl clean, and I mean spotless! My 9 y/o gets the adult version and also eats well! Both of them love it!

The potatoes were increased from 10% to 14% and some sweet potato was added. Fine - with 80% meat content that's 140g on 1kg, which is still okay. When you think about grainy foods that have maximum 4% meat content then it seems like a luxury!!! However my cats get soft poo every now and then which is not very pleasant with long fur!!! Other than that - perfect food!!!

Regarding my pets: + very quickly accepted, our kitty devoured it without ever having eaten dry food before + very compatible, small poos, no diarrhea or itching + size is perfect, you can really stretch it if you dose it right (2 cats, 7 kg bag, with wet food lasts roughly 5 months) + Perfect shape seeing as cats don't chew so much anyway - quite salty for cat food

From day one they have licked their plates clean which gives me confidence as the food supplier in the household! As I like to have lots of different flavours for my kitties so that they don't get bored. This was a great find! The pieces are a little small but doesn't make much of a difference with a full mouth as they have to chew! Paws and thumbs up :-) And when it runs out we will graduate to the Adult which offers even more flavours!

Put my kitten on this diet because she was having loose stools and I wanted to try her on grain free food. After 8 days, not only did it clear up the problem with her stools, it made an unexpected transformation to her fur. Before, her fur was rough, after 8 days on this diet, it was baby soft and gleaming. Her energy levels are back up and she's glowing with health.

As soon as kitten moved in I learnt that she is a very fussy eater, I tried various wet and dry food which she just sniffed or licked the gravy off and left the rest to rot in her bowl. As it turned out, she loves Applaws though, wet and dry food (same with Meowing Heads), so I have a little choice of variation to feed her without her getting bored too quickly. Also her poos have improved and are as beautiful and firm as a poo can be (she got incredible smelly and sometimes way too soft poo from science plan kitten food).

My almost 3months old BSH loves this. He had been having Royal Canin baby&mother at the breeder's and so I had both out for him, and guess what, he definitely prefers this to the Royal Canin. But I don't know if it's because those kibbles have become too small for him now. Will try other food too.

My kitten adores this food--I am rather worried about weaning him off it as he gets older! He gets canned during the day and this to snack on at night, but as he tends to wolf it when I put it down, I have to give him a small amount to satisfy him then sneak more in later when he's not paying attention. He has eaten it since we got him at 10 weeks, and it has always gone down well.

Best I found and cats love it. I've recommended it to new kitten owners.

My kitten is raw fed but I brought this kibble to leave out if we go out, or as a snack. Our kitten really likes it and it's grain free, with a very high meat content, win, win. The resealable bag means it stays fresh and it's a really good price.

Although dry foods are not great as an only food (cats don't have a great thirst drive so become dehydrated) - I got a bag because it's convenient if we'll be out all day as you can leave it for hours, and applaws dry seemed to be the lesser of evils. Kitten used to eat his full day's requirement all at once - Dry food doesn't seem to fill him up. A month later my kitten has stopped eating this product. I think it is because the re-sealable bag never re-sealed properly and the product has gone stale and less appetising. Also the recommended requirements doesn't seem to fill him and we end up having to give him loads of wet food in addition anyway - so not as cost effective as planned. Will stick to just high meat content wet food in future, shame Applaws doesn't seem to do a complete wet food that I've noticed?

I have tried various brands (also those that are supposed to be the good ones) and I have to say that I can tell the difference myself. Just open the bag and smell Applaws dry food and than try to smell some other kibble. You think you are giving a good food to your cat until you get to compare it with Applaws. My kitten, that generally hates dry food, loves this one and for the first time I have no problem getting him into eating it. Forget other brands, Applaws is the one to go for if you are looking for a quality.

I'm not a cat, but my two cats have stopped eating it. You can clearly see they've changed the texture of the product, it's obvious. I don't know if it's the taste or what, but they just don't want it anymore, and now I've got two 7.5 kg bags that they won't touch. Brilliant, they change the texture and flavour without anyone asking for it! After years of using this product, I've just cancelled my subscription. The crazy thing is, I bought the one from Mercadona and they wolfed it down straight away.

As for the ingredients, they're great, the only thing I would criticise is the size of the kibbles. The kibbles are so small that the cat can just swallow them without chewing at all. This leads to gulping in our case, which doesn't happen with another brand.

My kitten ate it from the very first day without any problems and his fur is shiny. I bought the 7.5kg bag after testing with a 2kg one. Unfortunately, I had him neutered and Applaws doesn’t have kibble for sterilised cats, otherwise I would have continued with their range when the bag runs out. Maybe they’ll release some in the future and I’ll definitely buy them if they have the same good ingredients!

Great cat food at a pretty reasonable price, my kitty eats it up very eagerly.

I feed this high-meat, grain-free food in my hedgehog feeding house. It’s well accepted and seems to be well tolerated too.

Maybe at first the cat liked it, but after fully switching to this food (previously mixed with the old one), she went on a hunger strike. She can’t chew it, the bowl just stays full.
