It absolutely stank!! Did not cover the smell at all and the litter itself had a very strong smell - it felt like I was living in a pet shop, other clumping cat litters do not have this very strong smell. I had to give this bag away on a no waste Facebook group and drive to maxi zoo to get a proper cat litter.

Wanted to try something more cost-effective than the current litter which, for three cats, was proving expensive.
Yes, this litter clumps (previous litter was non-clumping) but it also sets like concrete in the bottom of the litter tray even if just slightly moist. As for the litter scoop - you can't just rinse the litter off, you need a sharp implement to scrape it off.
The litter scatters all over the place. You can see exactly where the cats have gone after exiting the tray.

We used this cat litter for over 10 years with our six cats – unfortunately, the quality has noticeably gone downhill. It now creates a huge amount of dust, and the fine particles spread all around the litter boxes and throughout the room. The clumps fall apart quickly, and the odour control just isn’t as good as it used to be.
It’s a real shame – after more than 10 years, it’s time for our six furry friends to switch litter! 😿🐾 Let’s see if they’re happy with the new “toilet arrangements”. 😉

Extremely poor quality
I was always satisfied with Catsbest cat litter. The last two batches I ordered in September 2026 are the worst quality litter I’ve ever received. I contacted customer service because of this. It doesn’t clump, even after hours, and spreads all over the litter box. I changed it three days ago and will have to replace it completely again in the next few days because the urine clumps are spreading everywhere and it’s starting to smell. Something really needs to be done about this.

It hardly creates any dust, locks in smells brilliantly, and doesn’t damage the litter tray. With cheap litter, the tray’s bottom would go dull after just half a year. If you factor in how much longer Cat’s Best lasts, it’s not really much more expensive.
