Closer Pets fountain is suitable for our small animals and well designed. Cleaning is easy. The filters are also well made. You can buy a replacement pump, which is a good thing. HOWEVER, it's impossible to find 12V adapters for a 220V mains socket, even though THIS PART of the pump is actually the most fragile and BREAKS VERY EASILY. A real shame.

We bought the drinking fountain for our cats 2-3 years ago and they really love it! Unfortunately, ever since we got it, we've had to buy a replacement pump every 3-4 months, which, at around 5,000 HUF each, isn't really economical! We regularly maintained the pump and always made sure the water level was right! During this time, we also had to buy a new adapter once, as the original broke as well! This adapter isn't available on the Zooplus website, so we had to get it directly from the manufacturer!

The product works fine, it's easy to refill and clean, but the power supply broke after 6 months. So the product is too expensive for the quality.

Overall, it’s a nice drinking fountain and both cats like to drink from it. At first, I received a plug with loose pins, but that was sorted out. Now, within a year, the pump has broken, despite good maintenance and regular descaling. So, not really durable.

The old version, with "Cate Mate" written in red letters on the front, is really good. Quiet and has worked properly for years. The new one has a different motor and starts making a loud buzzing noise quickly when there’s less than a full amount of water in it.

Unfortunately, the plug of the power supply is really poor quality, as the contacts become loose after a short time and can no longer be used. Even after buying new ones several times, it's always the same problem. If this happens again with the next plug, the drinking fountain will be thrown out completely and I'll switch to another brand. Limescale also builds up quickly in all the little nooks and crannies.
