MAC's Cat 6 x 400g - cat wet food

I've been buying this food for years and I'm happy with it because, unlike others, it has a high meat content, no sugars and no grains. Out of my three cats, only my Lady is crazy about it, for the other two I have to mix it with a bit of mousse from other brands (also without sugars and grains) and they eat it happily. I also need to add a bit of water to soften the texture.

When it comes to wet food, my cats are always very picky. Sometimes they devour Macs, and other times they won’t even look at it. It’s often really hard to figure out why that is. That’s why we regularly switch things up, so they don’t get tired of one variety or brand. But overall, I think it’s a very high-quality product.

My kittens really enjoy eating this food. The texture and smell are pleasant. So, I'm genuinely impressed with the food itself. The only downside: when opening the tins, it splatters terribly. That's really annoying because you have to clean yourself and the area around you first.

My two cats only eat the Veal & Turkey variety and they like it. However, it feels like the consistency changes with every order. Sometimes it's extremely firm, then it's mushy with lots of juice, and it changes often. I don't have any real problems with the food itself, but I do wonder why it changes every time.

They ate this product very willingly, but then, maybe because it was so hot, they left quite a bit on their big plate. So we gave them a break. We'll probably go back to it during our adventures looking for new products, with 5 stars, and grain-free.

My tomcat quite likes this food (at least most of the varieties), and I think it seems really good too. But the Turkey, Beef, Blueberry variety is sometimes very fatty – you end up with a 1cm layer of fat at the bottom of the tin, and my cat only eats it reluctantly. The Salmon, Chicken variety isn’t really a hit either, but maybe that’s just my cat.

From one day to the next, my two cats suddenly stopped touching their food, so I switched to MAC's and now everything is grand again.

I’ve been giving MAC’s for years. I raise my kittens with it. But there’s definitely an issue: the 400g tins are so hard... I have to empty the whole tin into a Tupperware and mash it with a potato masher just to break it up! It even bends my spoons... it’s like concrete. With the 200g tins, there’s absolutely no problem—nice and moist, none of that dry feeling, and even the cats tend to turn their noses up at the bigger tins, even though it’s supposed to be the same recipe...

Super, my kitty likes it. Sometimes he poops a bit less often after eating it, but it’s okay. We also sometimes mix it with Wiejska Zagroda.
