Product description

Original clipper blades from Oster. Very durable and long lasting and a great selection. There's a blade to suit every type of fur.

These top quality clipper blades are for Oster fur clippers. The blades are very well made and Cryogenically tempered for longer wear resistance. This special cryogenic hardening process helps to produce less heat and keeps the blade on average 15°C cooler which in turn increases the durability and lifespan. 'Skip Tooth' blades are made with cutting teeth of alternating lengths, meaning the clippers can slide more easily through your dog's coat.

Because dogs have different requirements Oster has developed a range of clipper blades to suit every type of fur.

Chose the correct blade according to the type of coat your dog has and the length of cut.
The cutting heads provide a wide range of shearing lengths. F stands for a fine tooth blade which is particularly suitable for shearing (short) and matted fur.
Skip Tooth cutting heads 4, 5 & 7 have cutting teeth of alternating lengths. Particularly beneficial for clipping long or matted fur.
The cutting head 7 is suitable for shearing thick or matted coats.
The cutting head 10 is suitable for detailed trimming on head, face, ears, paws and rectum.

Important information - lubricating the blades: A light film of oil should be maintained on the surface of the cutting blades. Oiling the blades frequently (every 3-4 minutes) while in use will help keep the blades cleaner. If there is not enough oil the metal teeth rub together and wear out more quickly.

The Oster cutting blades fit the following clippers:

  • Oster Dog Grooming Clipper Golden A5
  • Oster Clipper PowerPro Ultra
  • Oster Clipper PowerMax

Highly recommended
Have been using this on my dog for about a year, and have no complaints at all. Cuts with no zero effort and doesn't get tangled in the hair. The supplied trimmer was a little short for my taste so I bought a 9mm one. It was faulty, but zooplus immediately sent me another one. Great service! The new one cuts like a dream and leaves my dog looking fresh. I highly recommend this product

Clipper Blades
Really happy with the clippers, but not the attachments! Once they're on, they are too short to cut anything...Can someone explain this to me? My dog is a Lhassa Apso.

5* product
Still going strong after 30 years of use on horses, and dogs. Number 10 blade saw the most use. Have spotted them at many a hair salon. The blades are expensive, but if you take care of them, they will serve you well.

Efficient
Really good for my English Cocker with plenty of undercoat, needs a bit of help from scissors, but nice and quick.

Quick and efficient
Bought for an average size Yorkshire with thick and wavy fur. My previous clippers always left his coat long and uneven. I was never sure who found it more annoying: me or my dog. With these new clippers, it's turned from a 90 minute job to a 30 minute walk in the park. Be careful as the supplied trimmer was too short for my dog, but the comb is perfect. This is in my opinion a really professional product and is already worth its money after just 3 haircuts.

Professional standard clipper
The strong points for this clipper are speed and power. The weight is good, you don't get tired while holding it. It's tidy and quiet. I have two Cockers, and it cuts their coat perfectly.

Very good
I have a mini Schnauzer, I always used to take him to the dog barbers until I thought: why not buy my own clippers and do it myself? I was a little scared at first but this is really easy to use, it cuts perfectly with little noise and I would really recommend it.

Super
I am really surprised, I bought this a while ago and had cut my poodle-terrier mix by myself the other day, and it was just great. I will be buying the 7mm attachment for summer, I currently have the 10 and the 5mm. No need to take him to the doggy salon anymore. Thoroughly recommended. Would buy again any time.

Oster A5 Clippers
I got my clippers back in July, they were on offer with a free blade, I can't remember if the 7f or 10 was free but I bought the other one aswell (cost about £150 in total) I've never given a dog a trim before (& got them to do our Wookie a mini schnauzer) I was guided by my sister (self employed dog groomer) as too what to get as a starter & how to do it, she stressed I must oil blades to make them last longer ! I'm really pleased with everything, they get a bit warm but I think it's because I'm slow & still learning, very quick delivery & now thinking of getting a 4 or 5 blade for a slightly long cut for winter trims ?

Best clippers around
This may help someone - bought my Oster clippers in 1988 (yes 1988) and they are still going strong !! I've used them over the years for terrier coats (hard and wiry)on Airedales, Norfolks, Cairns and now Sealyhams .They are well worth the money (they actually cost me £125 in 1988!!!) One of the secrets of them lasting so long is maintenance of the clipper and the blades - keep them well oiled/greased and they will serve you well. Always clean your blades after using them and store them properly (always wrapped and in their box - never loose as the teeth will get broken) and they will serve you as well as mine have me.
