The Dog Mate Pet Fountain is designed to provide your pet with a continually refreshed supply of drinking water. Using a pet fountain as the flowing water encourages dogs and cats to drink more and stay hydrated, which is good for their health. The Dog Mate Pet Fountain filters the drinking water and the water moves through two bowls (one higher than the other) and down a slope, thanks to the silent pump motor.

The large 6l capacity of the water fountain makes it suitable for any size of pet, even larger dogs. The low voltage operation and easy set up means the pet fountain is suitable for any household, and the bowls are also dishwasher safe.

Care advice:
If only one cat/ dog uses the pet fountain, we recommend changing the filter once per month. For more than one pet, it is advisable to change the filter more often, as the filter can clog, which can cause the pump to malfunction. We recommend a weekly change of the water in the fountain, to avoid limescale build-up. You should also descale the pump every month.

Multiple filters:
When the fountain is being used by multiple pets we recommend using an additional filter (available separately) on the upper level of the fountain, to extend the time needed between filter changes.

Nice idea, manufacturing disaster

I bought one cause the 6l volume is great. The problems started right away. Unlike the description, the power adapter is a EU one, not IE/UK. The fountain is designed with a gap at the back that lets hair and debris fall right into the chamber with the pump, bypassing the filter. Pump clogs every day and has to be cleaned. I contacted the manufacturer who sent a new pump, same issue. I crafted a piece of rubber to fill the gap with. Seems to work. I still would be hesitant to recommend.
