The automatic UV-C water purification of the Zeus Oasis Plus Smart Drinking Fountain uses ultraviolet light several times daily to combat microorganisms and germs – completely without chemicals. In combination with the triple-action filtration system, dirt particles, unpleasant odours, as well as excess calcium, magnesium, and chlorine are reliably removed. While conventional bowls need to be cleaned daily, with the Zeus Oasis Plus Smart Drinking Fountain, a water change every few days is sufficient – saving you time and ensuring your pet always enjoys fresh water.

Cleaning the fountain:
Wash the drinking fountain once a week with a soft sponge and a mild cleaning agent, then rinse thoroughly. Make sure to rinse carefully so that no soap residues remain.

Cleaning the filter:
Remove the filter from the base section and rinse it. Do not wash the filter with soap. Please also clean the foam pads of the filter, as otherwise water will no longer be able to flow through the foam.
If the filter contains impurities or other foreign substances, replace it (replacement filters are sold separately). Replace the filter every three weeks or as soon as there are signs of saturation with foreign substances (impurities, food residues, hair, etc.). More frequent replacement may be necessary depending on your home environment or water quality, as well as if used by multiple pets.

Cleaning the pump:
Please check the drive magnet ("propeller", "impeller") by removing it from the pump and carefully cleaning it with a cloth.
As tap water contains lime, not only coffee machines but also aquarium filters and cat and dog drinking fountains become calcified over the months. Therefore, it is beneficial to clean the drive magnet several times a year, not only from dirt but also with vinegar. The drive magnet looks like a propeller or rotor. To do this, take a bowl and pour in some vinegar. Then dilute the vinegar with a little tap water and dip a cloth into the vinegar solution. Use the damp cloth to gently clean the drive magnet and its surroundings. It is very important that all parts are thoroughly rinsed with tap water after cleaning, as vinegar and other cleaning agents are harmful to pets.
