Applaws Dry Cat Food is a unique complete diet for adult cats. There is also suitable food for kittens.

It simulates the natural diet of a cat in the wild in a dry kibble form. Cats are carnivores and their digestive system is adapted to thrive on a diet high in natural animal proteins. The natural cat diet only contains 1 to 5 % plant content from the intestines of prey. The grains found in many other dry pet foods cannot be utilised and are difficult to digest for cats. Surplus carbohydrates are not saved but are converted into glycogen or fat. The result can be obesity, liver or pancreas disease and even diabetes.

Wet food

Whilst I can't comment on dry food since finding wet food my cats lick the bowl clean. So far so good especially as one of my two cats has a thyroid problem and this food doesn't contain calcium iodate all other brands do.

Guaranteed empty plate every meal

Luna, my fussy cat, loves it and completely clears her dish. I like it too because it doesn't smell strongly. She's so fond of Applaws food pellets that I had to put them in one of those brain teasing tower feeders, to prevent her from gobbling them up, and make her chew them. The tower slows her down and makes her have think a bit about how she reaches them. She's quite a dab hand at scooping up the pellets individually and it's fun to guess which one she'll go for next!

High quality and cat loves it

To be honest, my cat loves all dry food as she's happily had other brands too so the big plus with this is the high quality ingredients, which has made her coat noticeably glossier. I do also feed her a tin of Applaws senior wet food as the recommended portions for a small cat aren't enough for her.

Our Bengals love it

We switched to his very high meat content dry food from Royal Canin, this food suits all our Bengals. It did take a good while to move them onto such a high quality food but now they have been established on it for longer than 4 weeks, they eat less and look better. Their coat is shiny. We do rehydrate the kibble and also add wet food into their diet.
