Rocco Adult Mini Classic Beef with Chicken - dog dry food

My Chihuahua likes the taste of these, but the kibble pieces are too big. They soak well in water and that way the rest of the bag gets eaten :)

Designed for small dogs. It claims to have 50% animal-derived ingredients, which is better than many cheap supermarket foods. It contains beef and poultry protein, which most dogs are happy to eat. It's not a high-meat food. 50% animal ingredients doesn't mean 50% meat, as it also contains grains. There are no detailed proportions given.

My Havanese eat and tolerate the food well, so all good on that front. However, under "Mini" I expected a different kibble size. The pieces are almost as big as adult food for large dogs. I have to mix the food, otherwise they stop eating after just a few pieces. Especially for the smaller of the two, it's quite a struggle to bite through. And in my opinion, eating shouldn't be hard work for a dog.
