TIAKI Starcats Coffee Scratching Den

Looks great and very realistic, and the cats absolutely love it. They use it as a hideaway and for scratching. The attachment for the middle floor could be sturdier, and because of its shape, the whole thing isn’t super stable... If the 10 kilo cat jumps onto the edge, it tips over, but the 5 kilo cat hasn’t managed to knock it over yet.

My cats love it and the quality of the cardboard is really super sturdy. Unfortunately, I tore the white covering at the bottom (my own fault). It's a shame it happened so quickly, but luckily it's easy to fix with some tape. Apart from that, it's a really great item!

Despite the not-so-great reviews, we bought the barrel for our cat. Assembly itself wasn't difficult, but that's where the quality of the workmanship comes into play. We carefully pressed in the scratching board at the bottom, but it still tore at the front of the lower scratching cave entrance. It's hard to fit in at the bottom. We glued it together. To test if it's stable, we put 4 kg of weights on top. It holds and is stable. We give a limited recommendation to buy.

…Assembly is a bit weird, but it works. Haven’t used it yet, but it looks amazing.

Visually, the coffee mug is really an eye-catcher and I would buy it again any time. The cats started using it straight away too. However, I found the assembly instructions to be a joke. The smaller round scratching board didn’t fit into the outer mug cardboard, even with a lot of force. Since I didn’t want to damage the mug’s cardboard, I just removed one layer from the small round scratching board. Now everything fits perfectly :)
