The cat doesn't play with it.

Extremely disappointing purchase! I thought it would shoot the feather up into the air. It doesn’t. It just pushes it out so it sticks out of the gun. Not very interesting for the cats. Or me.

My cats got scared of this and I thought it would shoot out a feather they could chase, but it’s just a feather that pops out and goes back in, and it’s attached.
