TIAKI Interactive Cat Teaser

I was hoping this would be like the cat dancer with a bigger handle, since our cats ADORE the cat dance. The "wire" is way too soft and theres very little difference between this and a regular rope. The handle itself is okay and would be good to use if the wire was though enough to stand on its own but as it is, its like a wand toy with a very short wand! This needs either a more sturdy wire that keeps its shape or a longer handle/pole for it to be practical.

It's not like the classic Cat Dancer, even if that's what it looks like from the name and the photos, unless they sent me a faulty product, I'm not sure. The wire is super soft, more like string, and not like the classic Cat Dancer wire that holds a bit of a curve so you can make the movements that make it look like a bug (which is the whole point of this toy). It's a bit of a disappointment, to be honest.

Unfortunately, one of our tomcats is a chewer and bites through all sorts of strings and the like. He pulls out feathers and sometimes even eats them. With this toy, everything has been fine for weeks—he can play with it intensely, catch it, carry it to his hiding place, but he doesn't destroy it. I'm really grateful to have finally found something for him that's safer!

I’d heard good things about the Cat Dancer. My cat is interested but still a bit scared of it. When she tried to catch it, the wire ended up awkwardly around her neck—good thing I reacted quickly. That thing is going straight in the bin now. Such a pity.

I ordered the Cat Dancer because I already have one. Unfortunately, this one – as many others have mentioned – isn’t made with a sturdy wire, but with a metal string. That makes no sense. The whole idea is that the wire makes the little cardboard bits bounce up and down like an insect. That just doesn’t work with a string. I really wonder how anyone can make such a pointless product.

My oldest cat is crazy about the Cat Dancer; she doesn't care for regular fishing rod toys. Since the old ones were worn out, I ordered two of these, but what a disappointment... it's just a flimsy string, no wire. Maybe I didn't look closely enough, because I now see that the original can still be ordered. I'll do that quickly then. The extra cost is definitely worth it.

I was so looking forward to replacing the old one with a new one, and I thought it was really handy that this had a handle at one end. But when I unpacked it, it turned out to be a floppy metal “string” with paper at the end, and it’s definitely nothing like the Cat Dancer we all know and love. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Don’t make the same mistake I did and fall for the name!

I bought a similar product 1.5 years ago and wanted to buy this as a gift for someone else’s cat because I think it’s a great toy, but this has nothing to do with the original. This metal cord hangs limp, the previous one had a thin, stiff metal rod, which gives a completely different effect. I still have this thing in the packaging, I’ll probably throw it away with the “scrap metal”. Waste of money.

Excellent!! My two cats started playing with it straight away, even my Sunny who usually doesn’t play much!! Plus, the wire is made of flexible metal and takes on different shapes when you move it!! I got one for my daughter’s cat too and I definitely plan to buy more!! Thank you!!
