Amazing, but filter is a bad design.
I got the tray for my one year old boy cat after we found he was peeing everywhere because his litter tray was too small.
We needed something big for him (he is longer than out coonie) so when we read the reviews on this one, we wanted to try it.
We have three cats in total in the house and this is our fourth tray.
It is massive.
I put the hood on the tray but kept the flap on top so it was open for him initially.
He went straight in after some sniffing around and immediately had a poo (well, what else was I going to say in a review of a cat loo?).
He usually would go in, quickly do his business and get out but he was in there for ages happily scratching around.
Since we put it in, he has not peed elsewhere, result!!
It takes one 5L bag of the silica cat litter.
The only down side is that the filter on top is exposed.
Within a couple of days, is was shredded. I think they put catnip in it or something.

exposed filter irresistable
Great litter box ideal for my Maine Coons, they especially loved tearing the exposed filter from the top within 5 minutes of putting it down!! Catit need cat owners on the design team I think!
Fantastic litter tray
This litter tray is brilliant! Its lovely and spacious,as well as, being really deep. The clips ensure there is a seal between the hood and base so no litter gets kicked out the sides.I bought 2 of these and am ordering another 2 to replace the Purrshire luxury hooded trays.Perfect litter tray for larger cats, my Ragdolls have ample room when using this tray.

Great Buy
I am very pleased with this box, my two (large and tall) cats no longer bang their heads on the top of this box as it is quite high, I can also leave the flap up which gives them more room. I like the fact it is nearly square which means they have room to turn around and yet the box doesn't look too big, only problem I have is that the clips are flimsy and pop off and the door flap sticks a little, otherwise perfect and will be buying another soon

Big Spacious Cat Toilet
I have two normal sized boy cats, and they love the size. My previous cat litter boxes were medium sized and my cats would only ever do a quick in and out, now i think because of the size, their in there a lot longer. It takes about 7-10l to fill depending on what cat litter you use. Also so many people complain about the filter but i don't see the problem, my cats have not bothered with the filter and it does the job just fine. Excellent purchace!

Not Great
I have been very disappointed with this box. The positives are - it's a good size, strong and sturdy, easy to fetch lid off, flap removeable. The negative for me - one of my cats likes to spray whilst inside the box unfortunately and sadly urine leaks out from the seams. I always use puppy training pads underneath as a safeguard but a leaking box is a no-no for me.

Very good
I ordered this and the Savic xxl so i could compare the 2 at home. I preferred the Catit as it is square so gives the cats more room to move round,i like the door flap better as it lays flat on the top when you open it to clean out, I also like the bag holder feature. So the only down side is the filter that it is not covered but this can be rectified which i saw on another buyers picture with a vent attached but i assume this would void your returns policy but i'm still going to do it too.

Good quality and LARGE!
This is a robust and spacious litter tray. The fastening clips are unusual, and it took a few goes to get the hang of them - look underneath at how they work, and it gets easier! The swing door and partial roof/lid are a really clever part of the design. They can be left opened in the beginning to get cats used to use the tray, or for cats, who don't like to use the swing doors. This design also makes it much simpler to scoop out waste. Just a bit miffed I missed the £20 offer by a few days.

It's definitely jumbo!
What a great size product! The picture is deceiving and I wasn't sure quite how 'jumbo' it would be but I'm pleased that it is certainly big enough for my boys to use. Plenty of space inside for them to move around without having to have their heads popping out. I have taken the front flap off as both my cats aren't keen but it unclips easily without any hassle. I would definitely recommend this for anyone with a bigger cat that has a tendency to kick litter all over the place!
Very good but shame about the filter
We bought this litter tray for our rather large cats and overall are very happy with the product. Our only issue, as with other reviewers, is the uncovered filter which we are unable to use as the cats just pull it out/ chew on it. If this issue could be rectified it would be 5 out of 5 for me.
Brilliant for messy cats
We have two big house cats both of whom thought it great fun to empty the litter out of their trays every time they used it !!
I bought two of the covered litter trays together with a sack of 'The worlds best cat litter' and now we have a smell free, litter free home . The small amount of litter tread was easily cured by putting a couple of the half moon littler tray mats outside each tray. Now I can truly enjoy our cats !!!!

Very large (which is great for my cat)
This is quite well made, and the flap at the front is sure to make cleaning a lot easier than removing the whole lid. Was a little fiddly to put lid on and slide the locks shut, as you must make sure the lid is pushed down firmly all the way round. Having said that, it was easy once I sussed it out and only took a few seconds. It is VERY deep though so liners may be a problem to get the right size. 2 cats used it within minutes!

Big Litter for Big Cats
I bought this litter tray for my little Maine coon girl who has already outgrown a normal litter tray at 5 months. It's perfect for big cats or multiple cats and a bargain. I would definitely recommend it.
Great size, needs filter cover and improved clips
The box itself is great, the size is enough that my big Maine Coon boys can use it easily and the depth means no leaks. Comfortable handle, too. However, the first time I picked it up with litter in it the clips gave way and the base crashed to the floor - fortunately it happened immediately so that wasn't any great distance! I bought mine a few months ago and I notice from the picture that there are now four clips (mine has two) although they are still the easily broken ones as far as I can see; the makers should look into the foldover ones other trays (and carriers) use that are much better. I now have a bungee cord holding the two together so it can be lifted safely. Also, as everybody else has said - the filter needs a cover.

Excellent.
This litter box is a great size, more large than medium to be honest. I've two big ragdolls & this is perfect for them. It's sturdy & does the trick. This is my second (the slider on the other one broke after 3 years which can't be grumbled about) so I'm a return customer & that says it all!

Excellent - 5 stars!
Yes it really is jumbo! My cat loves using it and took to it right away from a regular open tray (I left the lid off the first few days, then added the lid but kept the flap open, then flap down too). I fill it very deep and she loves to move the litter around, so the hood is perfect to stop bits flying everywhere! The hood and flap also help to keep the smell down (can't say i've noticed a big difference with the carbon filter). There are clips to remove the hood when you want to deep clean or refill but day to day I just open up the flap and scoop out the toilets. Seems sturdy enough and has lasted fine since purchase six months ago. Don't think the cat nor I will ever go back to an open tray now!

Amazing
This cat loo is HUGE. It is much better than expected and at a great price.
BIG!
when I seen this cat box was in the medium size category I thought ok it will be of medium size! although now that its here, its much bigger than I expected I don't really do measurements and took no notice of the dimensions thinking it would be smaller. It is a good deep box with great locks and is easy to carry around. My cats seem to like it too. I am just getting used to the size as I live in a small house so its a bit of an eyesore. I would definitely order the smaller version if they make one in future. Zooplus need to move this to the large category for now!

Good size but filter useless
I agree with Angie. The good things: Good size for cats who like a good turning circle. Strong handle makes lifting easy.
Now the not so good: The locks are stiff. Also, as its a big tray its a bit cumbersome when it comes to cleaning the lid.
And the downright useless: There is no 'cage' for the filter. I found one of my cats chomping her way through the filter - it was so easy for her to lift the filter off the top. SO, it defeats the object of having a filter.
Favorite litter box
I love this litterbox because of the wide openings in front and partially on top. It's easy to clean and prevent sands from being kicked out to the sides and back. If you have an old cat that tends to raise it's butt up when it pees, this is also very good for them. The wide opening helps with ventilation of the box, and the cats can stretch up more when it's inside like the boxes that doesn't have a top. The box is also spacious and large so it's great for bigger cats. More sand also helps with the smell. It's deep enough so the liquid doesn't get stuck at the bottom, etc. For the price, it's great.
