Catsan Hygiene Plus Cat Litter

I buy this all the time. Bought it for years. Its never smelt bad before, but crikey this last lot of catsan is absolutely awful. It smells as bad as the cheap supermarket own clay litter. Leaves a pungent smell up your nose that literally lingers in your nostrils. My whole house stunk of some weird strong chemical smell as soon as my cat used it. I changed the litter again for a fresh bag and the same thing Happened. Really gutted as I relied on catsan to keep the litter box smelling fresh.

It seems dry, but has a very nasty strong chemical smell, after the cat uses it, smells absolutely HORRENDOUS like it's reacting with the pee. Rather use own brand cheap stuff. The smell felt like it was burning a hole in my sinuses and throat. Never again.

Have been buying for approximately four years, and recently can't believe how bad it is, It's becomes so wet and mushy on a daily basis, Previously never had such issues. It seems the price went up to £15 then you also took an ingredient or two out, I may as well buy the cheaper brands as you've destroyed this one. Dissatisfied!

Run out of my usual cat litter, so tried this as I’ve been told it’s the best. After my cat had a wee it stunk emptied it, it left a soggy smelly mess, and it’s expensive , never using again

I've used various litters over years. This used to be the best but when I switched back to it. Starts to smell after a few days doesn't last a week without emptying it and had a pool of urine at the bottom of tray and I use a big tray for my cat. Wondered why my cat was trying to sneak off and wee somewhere else. They must have changed the ingredients. You might as well put in a cheaper brand same result. Bag also so delicate tears easily. No fun when that happens on your car boot

I think they must have put the wrong stuff in the bag. This remains wet, without clumping, and trails all over the house, and it stinks really bad. Replaced it with much better Cat's Best cat litter.

So. It smells terrible. It has a weird chemical odor to start out which is not pleasant, but then when the cat urinates in it, it gets much worse. The litter box appears 'dry' so you might think that the litter is working to absorb moisture and all is good, but in fact, it just off gasses all the unpleasant odors that get sealed up with clumping litter. AND, the smell of the product combines really badly with the smell of cat litter. You will regret buying this.

I normally use cheaper cat litters but, got a big 20l bag of catsan, never again will i buy its the worse cat litter going even worse then shops own brand

This litter was used for 2 years without any issues, does not smell and absorbs very well. Unfortunately the last three bags are very bad. It does not absorb and the smell is horrific because the liquid stays at the bottom, you need to clean the litter tray completely. I thought it was one failed bag, I ordered a second and a third: same. I suppose they have a huge backlog of failed bag from their latest batch. 1 Star for the current state of the litter. I'll get some next few month when fixed.

My first bag is ok but second bag is soooooo dusty. Like white cloud, unfortunately I bought two big bags, have to dump them. Waste money , my bathroom covered by white powder just in two days. Ridiculous

I've been using this cat litter for as long as I've had cats. However, in recent years the price has doubled and the quality of the litter has gone down. Now a bag lasts only half as long. That makes this cat litter way too expensive for what it does now, so it's time to start looking at other brands.

I've always been happy with zooplus products, but this is by far the worst thing I've ever bought from any shop. Can you even call this cat litter? It's just big, hard stones and nothing clumps or can be scooped out... I just had to throw everything away.

I bought this litter for my two kittens. They share a large litter box, which is currently still in the living room. They took to it very well. However, after just two days of use, it already smelled so strongly of urine that I had to replace all the litter. Just dumped out 18 litres.

It doesn’t do what the description says; the pee just sinks to the bottom, smells, and is hard to clean. You get a lot for the price, but it’s not convenient cat litter.

I’ve once again received a damaged order—the litter bag was torn and there were seeds all over the box. I’m not very happy about it.

I can't really find anything positive about this litter. It creates a lot of dust, starts to smell bad after just a few days, and the grains are so coarse that my cat isn't really comfortable using the box. I won't be buying it again.

Doesn’t clump, smells disgusting, sticks to the floor and is dusty. Never again!!

The sand is too coarse and my cats won't go into the litter box. Obviously their paws are bothered!

Didn’t like the litter at all! It doesn’t get rid of the smell at all, it’s dusty and spreads all over the flat! I don’t recommend it and won’t buy it again!

I’ve had cats for 20 years but I’ve never seen such bad cat litter. It doesn’t clump at all, the pee smells acidic, and the poo isn’t covered. An absolute disaster. I’m throwing away the rest I have. I just can’t use it. I have no idea where the positive reviews are coming from.

Kiss doesn’t clump at all, it just turns into a puddle at the bottom and all the sand gets wet. This is the worst sand ever, and I’m comparing it to Coop’s own brand which is only about 2-3 SEK more per liter. Buy anything except this.
