Biokat's Diamond Care Classic Cat Litter

Went through two bags of this but while it would clump brilliantly for the first week it did not maintain that standard. Clumps would collapse crumbling in the scoop as it was being moved. I have two litter trays in different locations and it was the same for both (so wasn’t the environment as one was in a humid location and the other very dry). Using it for a month meant it started to become like a sticky clay at the bottom of the tray that required scraping to get loose.

Acceptance is great, smell is okay. At 10L, it's a bit heavier, so thanks to the DHL delivery folks for carrying it so much. Since the last few deliveries, I feel like it's gotten way dustier and often clumps at the bottom even when there's enough litter filled in. I spend a lot more time cleaning, trying to get the little bits out somehow. I'll be looking for something new.

It had very good odour-absorbing properties, that’s probably the best thing I can say about it. It produces a moderate amount of dust, but I wouldn’t call it dust-free. What was a huge disappointment for me is that it really doesn’t clump: the pee clumps just fell apart into such tiny pieces that I couldn’t even scoop them out of the litter. Overall, it’s not a bad litter, but I feel the premium label (both in terms of quality and price) is unjustified and exaggerated. For us, this wasn’t the ideal litter.

It makes no sense at all. My last order of two bags was actually completely dust-free, which really surprised me and made me wish I’d ordered more. The previous orders were honestly not great, and I even had trouble filling up because so much dust came off. Unfortunately, my pet is quite picky and I haven’t found an alternative yet that clumps well and binds odours.

All in all, it’s a great litter and clumps really well – both my cats use it and the flat doesn’t smell like a zoo anymore (unlike with the old litter). But the litter is anything but dust-free; it feels like there’s dust everywhere in the flat, and after cleaning, my dark clothes turn white! Unfortunately, my cats also spread it all over the place, even with a “litter mat”, because it sticks to their paws. Basically good – but I’m still looking for a better litter WITHOUT DUST.

I used another one for years, but now it suddenly creates a lot of dust. So I tried this one, but I still think it produces too much dust, and it doesn’t clump well enough either. When scooping, it keeps falling apart. So I’ll keep looking for a better replacement.
