Spike Comfort Dog Kennel

The first time we left our dog after buying the kennel during a heavy shower, he was suspicious and didn't use it and looked like a drowned rat on our return! After this, he realised he'd stay dry if he went in, and enjoyed being able to lie and see what was happening in the garden in all directions. That was 10 years ago, (2012) and pleased to say the kennel has stood the test of time. The bar on the top and the lower edges of the roof felt now have signs of wear, but really can't complain.

A well packaged delivery, everything in first rate order. Within half an hour all assembled to a perfect fit, and well engineered. My only criticism I should have preferred the lighter oak shade of coating similar to the photograph, but Prince is happy.

I have bought three of these in various sizes over the years for my dogs. They are easy to assemble. look very good and are extremely hard wearing. My dogs have tried to chew them to bits at different times but they've survived. I have got the plastic doors with them plus some feece bedding and they are lovely and snug in cold wet weather.

I am so pleased with this kennel. The quality exceeds my expectations. It was so easy to build- my extremely DIY challenged brother managed to complete in less than half an hour. Now trying to convince the dog!

I have today received the Small ‘Spike Comfort’ Kennel, which I purchased as a package that included insulation for the kennel and a plastic door. The kennel is actually for an elderly cat that has been abandoned by a neighbour (grrrr), but who I cannot have in the house, as my own two cats have been less than charitable towards him. > Letting the little fella into our home will require a gradual approach and a long term solution is needed in order to provide shelter and warmth - the Spike Comfort kennel seemed to be the answer. > The kennel was very well packaged and easy to assemble. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the kennel in that some care appears to have been taken, rather than shoddy engineering, which seems to be the norm these days. I was particularly pleased to see the house was on raised legs and the legs were protected with plastic feet, which are adjustable. Do ensure you put the roof on once outside, as we were unable to get it through the doorway with it on. It does only take a couple of minutes to screw the roof onto the frame of the house. > The insulation was a lot thicker and sturdier than I was expecting and came in a fabric bag, so it could be stored away when not in use. I had planned to line the kennel with polystyrene tiles, to keep it warm, but we don’t think that will now be necessary, thanks to the insulation. I have also put a thick soft cat house into the kennel to make it really cosy. The kennel (without any soft cat house installed) would comfortably accommodate two medium sized cats. > The quality of the kennel and the insulation surpassed my expectations and for the price I paid, which included the delivery, was excellent value for money. > I was very impressed by Zooplus. Zooplus informed me by email that due to Christmas demand and the delivery firms they use being overstretched to the point they could not currently accept any more parcels, they had arranged for another firm to fulfil the delivery contract. The tracking of the parcel showed that the kennel came from Germany, and it was delivered to our door by Parcelforce, four working days after I placed the order – not bad considering the delivery was included in the price! > Given the quality of the products purchased and the efforts of Zooplus to ensure a timely fulfilment of the order, I would have no hesitation in using Zooplus in the future. > Thank you Zooplus, you have made an otherwise unhappy puss cat very comfortable this Christmas...he is fast asleep in the kennel as I type this. :)

We ordered this on Sunday and it arrived Wednesday, received a great service with updates on my orders progress. It is a fabulous kennel good quality and a great appearance plus it was virtually half price compared to many other sites I checked before purchasing. It was very simple to assemble with clear and precise instructions. Yet to convince the dog to stay in it though but I am sure he will get there! I cannot praise Zooplus enough and will not hesitate to use them again

I ordered my kennel on Monday night and it arrived Friday morning. After reading other reviews where customers had received damaged goods, I checked all parts and they were all fine. Assembly is straight forward it all slotted together nicely and it's a sturdy structure which gives our local stray cat somewhere dry to go :-)

Excellent item. And so easy to build up made with the best of material and completely waterproof We put a carpet in the kennel and it has been outside since November and the carpet is bone dry. Would recommend

Could'nt be more pleased with the quality of this kennel. Just got to convince the dog!.Grandson was in there first!. Took my daughter and I 20 mins to put together, unfortunately forgot to measure back door but only took a minute to take roof off and put on again outside.Fab!

My Spike Kennel arrived today & has only taken me 15 minutes to assemble it. It is for my cat & straight away she has gone into it & made herself 'at home', a very good & well made product & highly reccomend it's purchase.

I bought the medium size for my Jrt and Yorky to share as they like to snuggle together and it has plenty of room for the two of them. It arrived in three days and was in excellent condition. Easy to assemble, Looks Great. Excellent value for money.

This kennel was delivered within 2 days of ordering, the instructions were a piece of cake i constructed it with my 9 yr old son as a project for him we managed it in 15 mins. Great value for money unlike other kennels in the pet stores locally. Don't hesitate its brilliant and my King Charles loves it i bought the small one which has plenty of room.
