Product description

Premium wet dog food made with exclusively natural ingredients of food-grade quality, made in Bavaria and gently prepared for flavour and nutrition, with an optimum calcium-phosphorus ratio.

Terra Canis dog food provides your dog with a wholesome and hearty meal from natural, high quality ingredients. The Terra Canis nutritional concept is designed to cater for your dog's essential nutritional demands by using a variety of recipes. Terra Canis dog food is manufactured with thought and care from fresh, natural ingredients and thus provides your dog with all necessary nutrients. It is made by a Bavarian butchers, a family business of three generations, which has received several awards and prizes for its produce. It is considered one of the best butcher shops in Munich and particularly stands out for its emphasis on quality. As a grocery shop, it is only allowed to store, process and sell goods of a quality suitable for human consumption and thus Terra Canis is made exclusively from superior ingredients.

Advantages of Terra Canis at a glimpse:

  • Meat, fish fillets and all other ingredients are processed fresh, are of human grade quality and sourced in Germany.
  • Terra Canis guarantees exclusive use of ingredients listed in the composition.
  • A careful cooking process (cold-filling and low cooking temperature) ensures maximum preservation of beneficial natural vitamins, secondary plant substances, minerals, trace elements and proteins.
  • Carefully measured amounts of organic eggshell and mineral soil products naturally create the optimal calcium-phosphorus-ratio of 1.3:1.0.
  • Terra Canis consistently avoids the use of bone and animal meal, low quality by-products, fillers, butchers waste, artificial colours, preservatives and flavourings, artificial anti-oxidants and any kind of artificial additives and sugar.
  • An appetising and delicious food that tastes as good as home-made
Ingredients of Terra Canis Dog Food:
  • Muscle meat: provides your dog's organism with high quality proteins and omega-6 fatty acids. This includes heart and muscle meat, as well as chicken, turkey and rabbit stomach (stomach and heart are pure muscle and thus are not classified as offal). The proportion of muscle meat in a portion of meat should always be higher than that of any other ingredient and it forms the main part of Terra Canis dog food.
  • Liver: the liver is a detoxifying organ and thus should only rarely, and only in small portions, be given to your dog. Terra Canis therefore only uses liver in small quantities in a few of its recipes. However, it does contain plenty of vitamins and trace elements and should not be entirely excluded from your dog's diet.
  • Eggshells: Terra Canis substitutes eggshell for essential calcium found in the bones of prey. Every food contains the important calcium-phosphorus-ratio of 1.3:1.0, naturally achieved through the addition of eggshell and confirmed by the use of before/after analyses.
  • Dietary fibre from vegetables, fruit and herbs: dietary fibre is important for your dog's digestion; it stimulates and cleans the intestines. Different kinds of fruit and vegetables contain different kinds of vitamins, minerals, trace elements and phytamins (secondary plant components), so you should give your dog a bit of variety. Terra Canis recipes contain more than 20 different kinds of vegetables, fruit and herbs.
  • Grains: wolves only naturally eat small quantities of grain that are occasionally found in the digestive systems of their prey. This means that your dog's teeth and digestive system are not designed to cope with large amounts of grain. As it is of low nutritional importance, it should only be fed to your dog in small amounts. Terra Canis dishes contain just a small percentage of grains (max. 10%), using grains that are primarily gluten-free and provide your dog with a range of important minerals, amino acids and vitamins including millet, buckwheat, spelt, brown rice and amaranth.
  • Seaweed: algae provides your dog with all important minerals and trace elements (such as calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium, selenium, iron, copper, manganese, zinc, iodine etc), all essential amino acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids and many important vitamins.
  • Mineral clay: mineral soil or mineral clay contains plenty of all important minerals and trace elements (for example, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium, selenium, iron, copper, manganese, zinc) and also provides all essential amino acids.
  • Rapeseed oil: rapeseed oil consists of an optimum mix of linoleic acid linolenic acid, and is thus ideal for a balanced, healthy diet. It supplies your dog with natural vitamin A and important omega-3 fatty acids.
  • Andes salt: salt is an important part of your dog's diet since it provides him or her with a variety of minerals - amongst others, chloride, which is important for the managements of electrolytes. In the wild, salt is taken in through the saline blood of the prey. Terra Canis uses natural and untreated Andes salt, the "white gold" of the Incas.
  • Rosehip powder: rosehip powder supplies vitamin C in addition to the dog's natural synthesis to support the whole organism.
Terra Canis dog food is monitored by an independent, recognised laboratory which tests foods for product safety. All recipes are analysed regularly in order to ensure maintenance of the high quality standard. You will find a certifying mark on all Terra Canis labels.

Outstanding !!!!!!!!!
My dogs are so happy that i found this food for them! I have been looking for a long time for such a quality wet food. It is expensive but buying it in 800 g tins makes it more affordable. I would recommend this food to anyone that cares about their dogs health! no grain,no potato!!!!! I bought the turkey variety. I will purchase this product again and again!

Worth every penny
I have tried so many different foods for my two fussy dogs, and at last discovered Terra Canis. They absolutely love it. We have tried both the regular and sensitive varieties and both are great although I think the sensitive suits their digestive systems better. They relish the variety of flavours and unlike other dog foods we have tried, never tire or get bored of Terra Canis, which isn't surprising given the wonderful array of ingredients. This food is so pure and wholesome and smells so pleasant and nutritious compared with cheaper brands. Since changing to Terra Canis both dogs seem happier and healthier in general. Their coats, energy levels and digestion have improved and they get so excited about their dinner every day, which was certainly not the case In the past.I would not hesitate in highly recommending this excellent dog food which is well worth paying a little extra for.

Premium Quality food which my Nell actually likes - in fact loves!!
I have struggled finding a premium quality dog food for my JRT. I have tried various brands including James Wellbeloved (wet and dry), Natures Menu, Natural Diet, but she just doesn't like them!! Terra Canis is completely the opposite - she can't get enough!! Excellent human grade ingredients although the addition of 10% or so proper muscle meat would be the icing on the cake!
