Tom loves it BUT ...
Tom loves this, as does Monty who hasn't got anything wrong with her kidneys. BUT the recipe has changed recently. The previous HC "adult niere" had 0.35% phosphorus: the new "niere kidney" has 0.7% phosphorus. So something renal sufferers shouldn't have much of has doubled! I don't know whether to feed Tom this any more. The alternative, which he also loves, is Royal Canin Renal Select, which has 0.41% phosphorus.

My cat loves it!!
My little princess loves this as well as hills to give variety. She is at stage 3 of her renal kidney disease and she gets liquid from the vet for her renal to stabilize it. I us Vitakraft Premium Filet in either fish or chicken also available from zooplus, both are dry and is ideal for putting liquid onto as you get 3 to 4 in every pack, so if you also need to give your kitty any liquid to put on food from your vet this works a treat!! go on give it a go.

Happy Kitty!
My male cat loves this food - I didn't think he'd like anything as much as his "golden nuggets" (the Royal Canin Renal diet) but put these side by side and he'll eat the Happy Cat first every time. Nice to be able to give him a bit of variety!

My fussy cat loved this
I - like everyone else here - had a cat diagnosed with kidney failure. Tried more known varieties - no joy. So now trying less known names. Anyway - she loves it. Do try it - it's definitely cheaper here than your vet!!

Having tried almost every food there is for the last few weeks to get my ckd cat to eat has been nothing less than stressful. I saw this and thought i would try it as ive tried everything else.. so far its amazing ... its the only food she takes from me everytime..she doesn't eat it in abundance just a few biscuits handed to her now and again all add up at the end of the day.. thanks happy cat you have a very happier owner at the moment.!

Happy Cat(s) - oh yes
My cat with CKF will only eat one type of dry cat food, so wasn't expecting any joy with this one. Wrong she loved it, my other cat and my dog loved it - they stole some. Smells lovely, must be the herbs in it.

Great diet for cats with CRF
Now have 3rd cat with CRF over 5 years of 19 17+ & current feline around 14.5 to 15 years. Happy Cat Kidney diet is the tastiest & most welcome of all the CRF products we've tried!

Another Happy Cat!
My cat who turned 19 today was diagnosed with CRF at the end of last year. With a combination of medication for blood pressure and changing his diet to include Happy Cat Renal you would not believe the vast improvement in his appearance and appetite. We both recommend it and he is usually fussy but hasn't refused to eat this at all.

My cat's favourite
My 6 year old has CRF and this is by far his favourite of all the brands - very glad I came across it as most of the other renal food I've tried him with has been sniffed at and rejected. Highly recommend.

not called Happy Cat for nothing :-)
My 18 year old tortoiseshell has had RF for some years now. She'd started to get bored with the various combinations I tried of the Royal Canin & Hills k/D wet and dry varieties. Searching online for alternative brands I came across Zooplus and saw the Happy Cat renal food. I was a little concerned about buying this quantity if she didn't like it but took the plunge. How glad I was..she loves it. I also changed her wet food to Beaphar which she loves too. It would be good if suppliers of renal cat food would provide smaller sample packs as I'm sure this would encourage people to try different brands.

My two CRF cats love this stuff!
This is like kitty crack! Seriously my CRF cats love it. And why wouldnt they? Reading the ingredients I am often tempted to try it myself. My Older boy puss will generally always plumb for the wet food, but he really loves to chow down on these biscuits and I really appreciate this as it has helped him gain weight and has improved his coat no end. Great food!

Great stuff
There are two things you need to know about my cat. 1) He has CRF and 2) He's a rescue cat, who had to have all his teeth removed. As such, we'd been keeping him on a wet diet, figuring it'd be easier for him to eat. When he started getting tired of the wet food, we thought we'd give him a whirl on some dry - and he really loves this stuff. The food itself is pretty big compared to other brands, but it doesn't seem to cause him any problems, and he goes mad for the stuff. So, there you go. Great for poor kidneys, and apparently not a problem if your cat is toothless.

Highly recommended as my CRF cat loves it!
I have a 16 year old CRF cat who was diagnosed 2 years ago. In that time she has had every type of wet and dry prescription food, and this is one of her favourites. She recently had dental surgery so I now mix this with the Happy Cat 10 plus as the phosphorous levels etc of that are nearly as good as the kidney food but it has much smaller kibbles.

Jasper Is Indeed a Happy Cat
My 14 year old cat Jasper has chronic renal failure and was not keen on all the other renal biscuits I'd offered. It was critical that he only ate renal food, so thank goodness for Happy Cat!! Jasper adores these biscuits, he simply can't get enough of them, he's put a bit of weight back on and is looking much happier now he's got something he loves to eat. A big thank you to Happy Cat & Zooplus from me and Jasper!

Happy cat indeed!
This product is great. I am sure he would have lost so much weight if he just had to eat his wet food. As it is he is gaining a little weight and I am sure that is due to his frequent treats of "Happy Cat" What an apt name. Thankyou.

You should not be giving a renal failure cat dry food anyway
they need as much fluid in their diet as they can get....... + the process of chemicals used when dehydrating to kibble to make dry food is not the best thing for kidneys anyway. Canned wet food low protein and low phosphorus is a much better choice.

our cat Girlie-Mouse
Girlie-Mouse is 14 years old and has kidney failure. 2 months ago we thought we would lose her. She would not eat any of the wet kidney food we offered her, only very salty commercial brands. When we tried her on Happy Cat she instantly loved it. Things are looking up. Thanks Happy Cat!

Loves it
My Cat fluff loves it, we tried all the other renal foods and they upset her stomach - this is the only one that didn't.

Good Stuff
My cat has terminal kidney failure and is on strict kidney diet. Luckily, she is really happy with this dry food and most importantly she eats them without we actively motivate her. So, we are glad that we bought it.

The only renal food my cat will eat
My cat Clapton was diagnosed CRF nearly 4 years ago. He has refused to eat any kind of renal food, so we have been feeding senior food with phosphorus binders. He recently had mouth surgery and completely lost his appetite and a massive amount of weight. Before surgery, we had his bloods done and he is now stage 4, so it is especially important that he eats low phosphorus food. I ordered some of every renal food I could find, both wet and dry. He refused all of them. He was even refusing to eat regular food. After trying several wet renal foods and a couple of dry ones, I gave him some 'Happy Cat' and he started eating. He is now licking wet food with water added and then eating some Happy Cat biscuits. This is a cat with no teeth that refused to eat any other kind of kibble before. I can honestly say this has contributed to saving his life and will help to prolong it. I can't speak highly enough of it. My other cats also approve of the senior version of it.
