Cleaning the fountain:
To ensure optimum water quality and the longevity of the drinking fountain, the fountain should be cleaned regularly. Remove all removable parts and rinse them thoroughly with warm water. Use a mild washing-up liquid and a soft brush to remove residues and deposits. Make sure to carefully rinse off all soap residue before reassembling the parts. Cleaning should be carried out at least once a week to prevent the formation of biofilm and limescale deposits.

Cleaning the filter:
The filter should also be cleaned regularly to ensure perfect filter performance. Remove the filter from the drinking fountain and rinse it under running water to remove any accumulated dirt. Do not use any cleaning agents as this can impair the filter function. Check the filter for visible soiling and replace it if necessary according to the manufacturer's instructions. We recommend cleaning the filter at least once a week.

Cleaning the pump:
Please check the drive magnet ("propeller", "impeller") by removing it from the pump and carefully cleaning it with a cloth.
As tap water contains limescale, not only coffee machines calcify over the months, but also aquarium filters and even cat and dog drinking fountains. It is therefore advantageous not only to remove dirt from the drive magnet several times a year, but also to clean it with vinegar. The drive magnet looks like a propeller or rotor. Take a bowl and add a little vinegar to the bowl. Then dilute the vinegar with a little tap water and dip a cloth into the vinegar water. Use the damp cloth to carefully wipe the drive magnet and its surroundings clean. It is very important that all parts are thoroughly rinsed with tap water after cleaning, as vinegar and other cleaning agents are harmful to the animals.

Please clean the pump at least every 4 weeks. Please follow the instructions for use.
