Cats with CKD often go off their food but the right diet is an important part of treating cats with renal disease. If it is left untreated renal disease can lead to further complications including urinary stones. Royal Canin Renal is a long-term feeding solution for cats with kidney disease and hepatic encephalopathy. It is tailored to meet the specific nutritional requirements and helps to reduce kidney workload. It contains an antioxidant complex, alkalinising agents and a low phosphorus level, all of which help with the treatment of chronic kidney disease.
