Dead Flies found in the food

I recently purchased Animonda Carny wet cat food on Zooplus for my 5 cats and I noticed in two different 400gr cans that there were dead flies in them. The first can I opened was few days ago and I noticed a fly in it but thought that was a small issue to report. But the fly I noticed today the second fly) was a big black one which made the food looked disgusting. I don't think I will repeat purchase of Animonda brand.

Price increase, but quality not reliable and keeps changing

I do cat rescue and have been buying this food for years for THOUSANDS of Euros each year. Unfortunately the quality is not reliable and keeps changing, More often than not the food smells bad (like it is mostly liver) and is very compact, then no cat will eat it. I cannot afford throwing food away and then have to buy food elsewhere. It is very frustrating. This is my second (negative) review I write about this product, the first one was never published.

I am just about done with this cat food

Firstly, I do cat rescue, so have quite a few cats. There was a time the cats would eat this food. Not anymore. The composition keeps changing and not for the better. ALL flavours smell the same, like kidney, and the cats won't eat the food. I contacted the company a while back in Germany, but the answer was 'no recipe change'. I dare to say the composition of each ingredient has changed, more kidney, less meat. Done feeding it to the crows. Will switch to Bozita.

Cat wont eat it

Though this would be excellent for my cats but one wont eat it & he’s normally not fussy. Its expensive for the quality , sorry I bought it, would have bought the dame quantity in a supermarket for a third of the price? My advice ‘avoid’

Recipe changed

Same as previous 2 comments. 2 years ago cat loved this food, now he hates it, doesn't want to it and sometimes even puking from this food. Something has been changed and I do not recommend this as it looks like providing harm to the pet.

Did cats change their minds... or did maker changed recipe?

My two cats loved this brand for over six months, absolutely wolfed it down every time. They won't touch it now, not even when crying for food. This happened between one order and the next. Has the maker changed the recipe?

Highly recommended

I had been struggling for years to reduce my cats' weight . Although I fed her the recommended amount of food it wasn't until I began to research that I realised the content of most commercial cat food is terrible quality. 4% meat, ash?! and filled with sugars and carbs. I found Carny wet, grain free and a v high level of meat content, my cat has never been healthier, energy levels have improved & at an ideal weight. Be warned it does take time to wean them off the 'junk' but persevere!
