good for mice only!
this cage is a great cage if you have a mousr or a pair of mice. its a good size for them and has levels for climbing which mice enjoy to do. HOWEVER please do not buy this cage for you hamsters. hamsters need a bigger cage which has to be at least 80x50 cm (lxw) or more. hmaster also prefer to burrow instead of climbing and they have bad depth perception so could fall down or off the ramps. this cage is more expensie than other great cages such as the barney cage which is a better choice.
Excellent!
Bought this for my dwarf, very spacious , easy to put together , easy access although hard to get big items in middle section as you would need to take shelves out and back in, so i have just put my smaller toys in that area , would defiently recommend!
Excellent cage for hamsters that love to climb!
My hamster Evie was in a longer, low ,tank style cage, but was constantly trying to climb. I purchased this cage because of it's height and full levels, although I was concerned that it wasn't as long as I would have liked. Evie is a small Syrian hamster, so I decided to try the cage anyway. I was really impressed with the speed of delivery - I ordered on a Sunday afternoon before a Bank Holiday Monday and the cage was delivered on Wednesday. The cage was well packaged and in perfect condition. The bars are quite strong. I decided to only use one of the included levels to allow me to use taller toys in both spaces and I constructed some smaller wooden shelves for additional space and to prevent Evie from falling too far. I would have preferred the base to be a little deeper, to stop the substrate from falling out, but at approx. 10cm deep, it isn't as shallow as many cages and I simply stood the cage inside of a deeper tray to catch the mess! Evie seems really settled in this cage and, despite my fears, it does give her plenty of space to explore, especially with the extra levels. I would recommend this cage for smaller Syrians who enjoy climbing, or dwarf hamsters, as the bars are narrow. Large Syrians would probably benefit from a longer cage.
Happy hamster!
Very quick delivery, sent a text In the morning by DPD with an hour delivery slot which was very useful. Cage arrived undamaged and well packaged. Shelves were a little fiddly to get in but they are very secure once in place. Accessories are rather small for our Syrian hamster but we just used the ones from our previous cage so not a problem. There is lots of space to run around in and add additional toys, cardboard tubes etc. well worth paying a little more than you would in a pet store for a much better cage! Would definitely recommend this cage, lovely to watch Cookie happily exploring her new mansion! :-)

Measurements should be made clearer!
I purchased this for my male syrian hamster, Chester (he's on the smaller size for a syrian so I thought this Would be perfect, and it is but I have just one problem). The measurements for the base are wrong, by only a few centimeters but it makes a Differnece, and quite a pain if you ordered specific toys to fit (I oreder a lg cabin with multiple rooms for the base floor). The base starts of with the given measurements, but curves inwards and has a three centimeter thick ledge which results in loss of floorspace. Not a huge matter, but it still bothers me. The second level is also almost impossible access with only one rather small door, so finding things to put in it (I couldn't even fit a willow tunnel with a 10cm diameter through the door opening) is quite a pain also. The doors are also extremely hard to open, but I suppose that's probably just because it's a new-ish cage. I've found a solution for taking the pins out of the wooden levels for cleaning - a good ole pliers does the job like a gem, so cleaing isn't a an issue. Also nothing was broken in the shipping of this cage along with a glass water bottle from Germany to Ireland, so for that I'm rather impressed.
Over all it's a good cage, and you really couldn't go wrong with the price. The positive things outnumber the negative, and Chester loves it (maybe apart from the fact that he can't have his beloved hammocks due to the levels, but he has plenty of space!).

Leon Small Pet Home
Very good quality cage. Our new syrian hamster has great fun running about on all three levels - there is sooooo much space! Great for fitting in all those fun toys for hammie to play with. Quite heavy so very sturdy once in position. Slightly difficult to get the hamster out of, but I just think we need more practice at it. Floors aren't that easy to remove for cleaning once in position, so you have to clean them where they are, which isn't really a problem, just a comment. We researched lots of hamster homes before buying this one and we are not disappointed. Would recommend to anyone. As previous reviews, we did soak out the red dye from the hamster house roof before use (maybe the manufacturer could sort this one out surely!!).
question please could someone answer
world this be ideal for 2 gerbils because they liek to chew alot, they have torn through a log cabin

Hammy Disneyland!
Really impressed with the customer service, no quibble when cage arrived damaged, replacement sent by return and courier arrived to pick up the damaged cage.Excellent!
Love the cage, loads of space for toys for my 4 roborovskis, who bomb around up and down the levels, climb accross on the top bars and burrow in the sawdust on the bottom floor. I bought the wood/stick ladders for between the levels and there's plenty of room for 2 wheels (silent spinners.) The storeys mean you can watch the antics of the hamsters easily, the only downside is it is slightly difficult to clean each level, but overall worth the extra effort.
Great Rat Cage
Pleased to find this cage: Searched high and low for a decent sized, well made, affordable rat cage that wasn't too deep to fit limited space in a flat and had a plastic, not metal (heavy) base for these dimensions. This is suitable for two rats according to cage size calculator on rat welfare websites.
FLOORS: However, same sites say wood floors could get smelly with rats, so replaced with two v. cheap and perfectly fitting plastic (removable and washable) chopping boards as half-floors. Holes drilled in corners to fix to bars and to secure the ladders that came with the cage. The rats love climbing space so the mezanine floor arrangement works better than complete floors may have done, I suspect. We added a plastic tube 'house' and some home-made hammocks to increase play area and they tear around from top to bottom, wrestling, chasing each other and stashing things. One loves the wheel, which is fine for a 9-week female ratlet, but may have to be replaced if she grows much bigger.
LITTLE HOUSE: We are also using the little house but without its front on (door otherwise too small). NOTE it needs a good soak in hot water to remove xs red dye from roof: I first thought my new ratlet had injured herself with bright red patch on her tail until it became obvious as to its source!
HANDLES & CLIPS Have had to fit handles so semisecured by base clips through them, as rats otherwise would regularly pull them into cage (because they can of course!) Irritating when you come to lift cage and they aren't there. You could of course just take them off until you need them. Impressed with spare clips to fix base to cage top in case of chewing.
REALLY PLEASED WITH THIS CAGE. GOOD VALUE DESPITE LIMITIONS OF ACCESSORIES, especially with introductory 10%discount. EXCELLENT DELIVERY, 4 days after order.

Russian Hamster Palace!
I just love this cage, its about the most space in terms of floor space that i could find. I have 3 russian hamsters and they love running between the levels, i have filled it with toys and also replaced the ladders with the flexible small wooden stick ladders also from Zooplus (who have the best hamster range i have seen!). Don't use the wheel that comes with it however if you value your sleep. i have two silent spinners in mine and they work perfectly.

Great for the shopping
We took this thing to finefare - it fit plenty of our groceries in but we noticed as we were pushing it up the veg aisle that it had no wheels. Not a problem though - we had french loaves in the basket so used these like logs to move it along - score.

hamster heaven.....with a few adjustments:-)
This is a great cage size wise, we ended up buying 4 for our hamsters.
I really don't think much of the shelving, it's difficult to get in and out and to clean. We replaced all of ours with new home made ones and these have proved a real hit with our boys, more accessability etc!
The wheel is totally hopeless, best replaced with a silent spinner, these work perfectly in this cage.
This cage is very spacious and well worth buying, any hamster would be proud to call this their home! :-)

MORE ROOM
my hamster has had a big upgrade from his small cheap plastic cage. the new one is wonderful. the only downside is that the wheel gets stuck and is made cheaply. I recommend buying a better one, its a pain in the but!

Excellent cage for hamsters
This cage is an excellent size for hamsters and there's plenty of space for 'toys' to keep them busy. The included wheel isn't very good but replaced it with a 'silent spinner' also I think the holes in the included logs would be too small for a syrian. Great price for such a large, good quality cage. Excellent service and very fast delivery from zooplus.co.uk

Big but beware
The size of the cage is great. Our hamster loves scurrying up to the top floor when we call. However, one of the door catches is a bit loose and he managed to push it open and escape. On the other hand, the wheel fits so tightly to the bars that it does not turn easily so we will have to buy another.

ideal for mice
the bars are small enough to ensure mice don't escape and the overall cage is a great size. much more generous than any other mice cages on the market. is also large enough for a hamster, gerbils or a single rat.

This cage is not suitable for hamsters
Hamster cages should be on one level and at least 100x50x50 cm. I’m disappointed that proper guidance isn’t being given.
