Minihemp Hemp Bedding

I wanted to try it as flooring in my aviary, but unfortunately I can't recommend it for birds because it gives off an unpleasant smell—I had to replace it after just one day. I then passed it on to a rabbit owner, but he wasn't convinced either, not just because of the smell.

Very good, even though it's a bit dusty (I sneezed once when putting it in the tray) and the shavings can be a bit prickly on your hands. Otherwise, it absorbs well, there's no smell, and it holds the tunnels pretty well.

The litter smells bad, even though there’s no sign of dampness or mould in the bag, so I’m not sure if it’s just the natural smell or if there’s something wrong. It doesn’t smell like the other hemp litter brands I know. The scent reminds me of the products used to care for elderly people... I regret getting the biggest bag now.

It gets really dusty, you can actually feel it in your nose (human) when applying and cleaning up, which is a shame because it smells really nice, like hay, and stays fresh for a long time + it's easy to clean up the poo.

I can only recommend this litter—it doesn't smell of urine at all, has great absorbency, and my three rabbits and I are sticking with it.

I usually buy soft bedding, hemp bedding. Tried two bales from this brand. Both bales smelled sour and old when I opened the bag. The smell got even worse in the cage after just a few hours. The rats started reacting to something and cleared out all the bedding two days later. Tried it for the hamster too, but I’ll have to clean it out and switch to something else. I’m going to throw away what’s left of the bedding.

We end up with dust everywhere, I don’t even know how my gerbils manage to breathe.
