Great for calming cats
I find that it definitely helps in restoring calm but I find you need to be consistent with them. You can't give one capsule and expect a miracle but over a few days it does what it claims to do. You mix the powder from the capsule with cat milk or a cat cream treat and make sure it's dissolved. The reviews above concerning puppy behavior aren't a true picture of this product. You can't expect to give one capsule and your puppy turn into a placid dog! It's not a quick fix - pups need exercise..

Xylene calm tablets
Don’t bother purchasing this product it’s rubbish . Gave two capsules to my dog for car anxiety didn’t make any difference .
Didn't work on our puppy
Our vet had recommended the higher dosage Zylkene for our 13 year old Setter who developed anxiety with the addition of our new puppy. We enjoyed excellent results with her. I ordered the lower dosage product for the puppy as he was extremely hyper, but it yielded no results whatsoever. Giving the product the benefit of the doubt, I will now try the higher dose which I have re-ordered for the old girl, on the pup as his weight has now increased, and see will this make a difference.

No results after a week
I bought this product to calm down my cat, especially at night, but after a week of use there was no change in behaviour.
1 capsule per day, at night or split in two morning/night with absolutely zero results. I even notice my cat more hyper at night, so not sure if this product is just a placebo.
The capsule powder seems odour free which is good to hide into food, although tricks are required to avoid your friend to "see" the medicine.

The holy grail for nervous or anxious cats
I’ll clarify by saying my review is only about cats. I tried zylkene with my puppy briefly but saw no benefit.
There’s not enough space to write all I want, but this is a game changer for our cats. One cat is on it permanently because it just allows him to have a better quality of life, and our new rescue kitten has just started on it as he was struggling to relax around us. It’s amazing! It takes a few days to reach maximum efficacy but stick with it. Plus it seems to taste great to cats!

Didn't work for us
I bought these on the recommendation of our vet for our pointer/springer Cross as an alternativeto meds. He's hyper all the time barking at everything and can't be let off lead at all.
Unfortunately they didn't work for us, if anything he was worse.

Bought for cats - a life saver
I was recommended to buy these for my cats who were suffering with stress and anxiety and were peeing on the counters and floor so I bought the double pack and along with some other changes in the house the peeing has gone down hugely. They also are alot more relaxed when sitting together as there is 12 of them. It did take about 3 days to kick in but its a life saver.

Good product to try if your dog suffers from demencia
My vet recommended trying these on my 16 year old Patterdale terrier who has doggy dementia, we were having a lot of sleepless nights due to what we think were panic attacks and this really seemed to help for a while. He is on prescribed medication as well now as the natural treatment on its own wasn't working but definitely worth trying in my eyes if you have a dog who suffers from anxiety or has issues with old age.
This works
We have a cat who tends to be quite highly strung and she was over-grooming. Zylkene resulted in an improvement quite quickly and she now has a complete coat of fur. We tried to take her off it early on and she relapsed so she now has a low 'maintenance' dose but we aim to get her off it in due course. Stick with it - it will take time but it does work. We mix it with lick-e-lix, but whatever your cat loves will work.
Wonderful
My dog developed separation anxiety this June. We first tried Bach Flower remedies - without any joy - but when we started using Zylkene, after 15 days there was such a clear improvement. She is much more calm when she is alone and doesn't get destructive. We are delighted and she is much happier - plus this price is the best to be found on the internet!
Effective
Following the arrival of a new kitten, my dog was in a constant state of panic and anxiety... even trying to follow me into the bathroom! I tried all the possible homeopathic treatments, none were effective, or did not last very long.
Now she takes Zylkene and she is back to normal - happy, playful and sleeping deeply, which had not happened for months!
Efficient
Cat with OCD (walking in circle like a lion in a cage) following a difficult living situation ( I thought it might be something worse): after less than a week (mixed with its wet food), my cat ois more serene and its OCD calme down. I think i saved myself some really expensive vet fees because seeing how well he is with zylkene, he obviously only suffers from anxiety. I am so relieved and so is he.

Stressful car journey

Highly recommended
