Wolf of Wilderness wet/dry dog foods

Three dogs, Working Cocker and two small cross breeds. This dog food is very good quality at a very reasonable price. The dogs absolutely love it.

Love it

Rory my young Scottie loves this. I had not fed wet food for a long time but this looks great and he is thriving.

Excellent quality, good price

We normally feed our 7 year old Alaskan Malamute a raw diet, but we weren't sure how we could manage a 3 week holiday with limited freezer space so decided to supplement with this tinned food. Picked it because it doesn't have any rubbish added and it is affordable. It worked out so well that we continued feeding 1/2 raw and 1/2 tinned after the holiday. Our boy loves it and it agrees with him very well.

24 x 800 g: Blue River - Fisch

More like soup

Blue River has always been a bit softer than the other dog food varieties. But these days, it's more like a soup than wet food – the dog eats it, or rather drinks it, without any issues (that's why I'm giving 3 stars), just like the old stuff, but he still looks a bit puzzled every time. I think he used to like it better before. We'll go back to the other varieties, even though he prefers fish the most.

Recipe changed

Used to be great, now all the varieties have chicken/turkey in them. Until recently, most of the flavours only had 1-2 types of meat. My dog is allergic to poultry... so I won’t be ordering anymore.

Good filling

Good meat, hardly any jelly, just a few fatty pieces.

good pet food

My 15-year-old Creole shepherd loves these wet foods. Given her age, I also cook her some nice green veggies on the side (courgettes in summer and green beans in winter). Otherwise, this wet food seems pretty balanced to me. No gelatine, and it smells good. I also alternate with the Purizon brand—their wet food in pouches seems a bit better, you’d almost want to eat it yourself 😅

Consistency

Unfortunately, my dog won't eat the wet food because it's very mushy and sticks together in the bowl, forming a lump.

tasty wet food

We mix this wet food with organic veggie kibble. That way, our Kobus becomes a flexitarian.

Tasty wet food that we mix with organic veggie kibble. That’s how our Kobus is a flexitarian!

Not worth the price

I tried Wolf of Wilderness wet food instead of Lukullus: big disappointment. The tins are full of water and, above all, my dogs are reluctant to eat it, plus their stools are softer.

Finally, no more ear infections thanks to the fish pâté

Since I started feeding my dog only this kibble, my cocker hasn’t had any more ear infections. The after-sales service is good: in the last delivery, one box was damaged and one of the cans couldn’t be used. Zooplus refunded our money.

Great food

Great monoprotein food that my dog loves. High quality. And it's a nice way to spice up her dry kibble a bit.

Quality product

My own very picky and sensitive-stomached 5-year-old Sarloos girl likes it. Nothing bad to say, I recommend it.

Top product!

My dachshunds love this food, I've already ordered the 800g pack for them several times. Their bowls are always emptied really quickly whenever they get this flavour.

Feeding Puppies of Large Breeds

Junior products for puppies or young dogs contain too many nutrients for large breeds, which leads to them growing too quickly. This puts a lot of strain on their joints and can cause problems. I mix the junior tins 1:1 with a suitable product for adult dogs.

June thinks it's tasty

We searched for a long time for our Border Collie mix girl until we came across Wolf of Wilderness. She used to have constant skin problems and was always scratching herself. Now everything is tip-top.

Very good

My dogs really like them. The fish pâté is less firm than the other two.

Fish waste

It smells terrible as soon as you open it, disgusting fish patty. Our dog, a Labrador mix, won’t even go near the can anymore.
