I ate this for less than a month, thankfully. Wasn’t very tasty except for dust on outside. Only ate it coz I felt starving. Had to eat double quantity than packet said to even feel ok. Shocked to realise it still has quite high carbs. 18.8% starch… for a diabetic… are you kidding? Barley as second ingredient… uh, I am a cat. Really expensive and ‘empty’ food. I’d rather go dumpster- diving. In fact, I did. Several times after this sawdust left me hungry. Yuck

Our diabetic cat enjoys eating this food, but so do our other cats when they can seize the opportunity! A very popular product! We also appreciated the speed and efficiency of the delivery!

Unfortunately my cat's diabetes is irreversible and I have to give him two insulin injections per day. Between the cost of insulin and that of kibble I spend a considerable amount, but when I found zooplus I started saving a bit of money, and with the regular deliveries my cat's diabetes is under control!

I've been buying this product for almost a year, it's easy to buy online and it arrives in a few days. The food quality and size of 3.5kg is really convenient, and since diabetes is a lifelong illness it's handy to order lots of bags and always have some at home.

I was planning to give 5 stars but I've just found that the price has gone up slightly so I'm dropping a star for that. However, for people who unfortunately have a diabetic cat this is a handy size and it's hard to find in stores, so zooplus is useful with its quick delivery.

I ordered this food for my grandma's cat, and when I saw the price I really couldn't believe it - it's far cheaper than the shops or the vet's! This site is really very affordable!

I had been feeding my 15yr old female with the 12+ until this came out. She's a bit of a grazer throughout the day and as she's getting older some times it seams she just can't be bothered to each much. This tends to play havoc with her blood glucose levels and I find controlling her can be a little difficult. However I have noticed a big difference on the diabetes food, things are much more stable now. Definately keep a close monitor on levels when you start this as I have had to adjust her injection a couple of times over a 3 week period, she is needing less insulin now and her glucose levels are very stable.

My cat really enjoys these biscuits, which help regulate her diabetes.

For my cat, these are the only ones he'll agree to eat—they taste like poultry and I moisten them so they're softer and easier for him to eat, since he doesn't have many teeth left (he's 13 years old). But the kibbles are quite big, and when it comes to diabetic cat food, especially in kibble form, there really isn't much choice. This cat food is expensive and they never offer any discounts, but unfortunately I have no choice but to order from them. Still, it's also the cheapest shop around.

Great for diabetics

Unfortunately, the diabetes food isn’t really suitable for cats with an additional allergy.

My cat is 14 years old and has been fed kibble since he was a kitten. As he got older, he became overweight. The vet prescribed him these kibbles a year ago. Result: he gained even more weight, so his portion was reduced and now I find him very sad. Tired of starving my cat for nothing and paying for food full of sugar and fat, I decided to switch to homemade meals. After just one week, he’s already lost weight, whereas in a year on those kibbles he only gained weight!

I specifically bought this food because my vet recommended it, but unfortunately my cat just can’t tolerate it at all… Normally she eats absolutely everything… The ingredients actually look really good, so I just don’t get it. I bought a different one locally before this arrived and had no issues with that. Maybe the food pieces are too big? I tried it for three days… but unfortunately it kept coming back up whole every time… Since I switched back to the other food, no problems at all… Such a pity :[
