Trixie Ceramic Bowl with Cat Grass

This grew very sparsely, really pathetic. Cat hasn't gone near it.....

The grass grows really well and kept well for me (I planted it in a normal pot after it sprouted). I can see the cats nibbled on a couple of leaves, but the seem to prefer my other houseplants.

I got one of these with my Zooplus points.My cat likes me to feed him grass, a blade at a time, he has trouble pulling it out of a pot. Knowing that the grass I had growing in the garden would be dying off for winter I ensured this was growing in good time. As I have never had much luck with getting him to eat specially grown indoor grass before I put the bowl outdoors once the shoots had grown as the fresh air makes a difference. It has been a success, I still have to feed it to him but he enjoys it, and also likes to bury his face in the dish. If you find your cat isn't keen on it, try putting outdoors for a few days but keep it out of the rain.

Done as described and nothing grows.

The product smells unbelievably bad. I left it out on the balcony and it attracted flies—not just one or two, but dozens. On top of that, after the grass started growing in the tray, there were little bugs that looked like ticks. I threw it out straight away after that.

The fertiliser in the packet smelled pretty disgusting. So I put the tray outside on the balcony to let it sprout. The blowflies came by the dozens. Some of the seeds sprouted, some didn’t. But since there’s no soil included, the tray dries out really quickly. Maybe it would have worked if I’d watered it 2-3 times a day or if it hadn’t been 28 degrees outside. But as it was, the whole thing quickly turned into a stinky, dying mess. We’re now using the tray as a food bowl.

The grass grew terribly, it barely sprouted at all. The bowl itself might come in handy for something else, but the grass gets 0 points from me.

The house smelled so bad, I thought there was a dead animal somewhere. You could even smell it out in the garden. Only a few blades grew, and they were all over the place with no order. I wouldn't recommend it. You'd be better off doing a DIY project yourself.

I bought it with gift points. The bowl is very nice. The shoots sprouted within a few days. Many people wrote that theirs went mouldy, but from the start I only sprayed it—at first twice a day—because I’ve had bad experiences with other brands of cat grass, so that’s why I spray it now. This way it works perfectly, my cats love it. I can recommend it. :)

I love this bowl, but you shouldn't use it as is, hence my rating of 4. I must have 5 or 6 of them, the dish itself is worth keeping. As for the grass, I plant the seeds and the substrate in a small planter with soil, not in the bowl. Both parts are useful separately.

I’m not happy with the product. I read the reviews, but I was misled by the photos. I thought that since there were bad reviews, at least over the years they’d fixed the product. Nothing like that. There’s hardly any grass, but tiny bugs appeared. Honestly, it’s ready to be thrown away. My advice is not to buy it, even if you like how it looks. It’s better to get seeds and plant them yourself. There are better options here in the shop.

The seeds rot even when the tray is in the sun, and it attracts bugs and flies.

The bowl is nice and we'll definitely use it, but not a single seed sprouted from the grass, so it's a big disappointment 😔

I planted it according to the instructions, it grew thick and long.

Our cats decided they prefer regular grass instead of this. I almost lost my mind because I bought 2 pieces and they don’t want to eat it.

I wouldn't recommend the cat grass. The seeds didn't sprout! You can save your money. The bowl is nice though.
