I have 4 cats, they went crazy for these pillows, rubbing them all over their face and drooling on them. No idea what this stuff is, but the cats could not get enough of it. Have to order more!

They smell like wet dog
I didn't realise Valerian smells so disgusting. It literally smells like unwashed dog or smelly feet. They are disgusting. They're going in the bin! Waste of money as cat hasn't even noticed them. Doesn't make him any calmer or give him happy cat dreams. He still constantly demands food and sleeps very little!
Amazing
I had the skunk, which was a hit with my cat, and when I got kittens to foster, I got the cushions, not even realizing they were the perfect size for them. Absolutely amazing for teaching them not to attack my hands... just swap out your hand for a cushion to kick and bite at.
Crazy for it
My cat absolutely loved these pillows. Isn’t very playful but became a different cat when I gave him this. Definitely buying more!

My both cats loved it! Smell is intense! I usually give them toys for half an hour or less each day. They both get crazy! Lick the bags, chase them, play with them...totally stoned after play :-) Smell lasts for around 2 months in my case.
Cats liked it
Cats tried to get this out of the packet as soon as it arrived. Scent is very strong, not sure how long the cushions will last. Not quite the "relaxing" effect I was looking for, but the cats are going crazy for it so I'm happy :)
Used to be great
I buy these on a regular basis for my 3 cats, as well as for my cat guests. They used to be great, well stuffed and really really stinky (just what they love). Just ordered some more and they don't smell of anything and have hardly any stuffing in them. 2 minutes out the bag and they aren't going to smell at all. Why have they changed them?
Kitty goes ape for these pillows
My cat, Kitty, LOVES these pillows. As soon as I took them out of the plastic and smelled how badly they smelled of dirty socks I just KNEW she would love them! As soon as I showed them to her she was wired! Eyes dilated, dribbling and slobbering everywhere and beating me up trying to get them out of my hands!! She would press her whole face into them, rub them on her face, do her little bunny kicks, and also lick and bite them. I only let her have one and hid the other until she found it. 10/10
Pillowy goodness
two small cushions played with and loved by our male Snowshoe. Female less interested but he adores them.
Enjoyment
All my cats go absolutely wild for these pillows. They have hours of fun & no mess. Would highly recommend them to any cat owners.

mixed reactions
Not as strong as my previous (other brand) valerian pillow, which has its advantages: it doesn't stink up the room. One cat has the same reaction as he had with the previous one: rolling, rubbing and biting the pillow. The other one just sits by it and stares.

These really do have an unpleasant sweaty feet kind of smell but my cats love'em!

Smell lovely, last quite a while, can be sprayed etc when smell starts to fade, my cat rolled and rolled over them, enjoying them.

Has lasted 3 months and is still loved 😻
I tried out the cushions because of the price, and now I'm about to order more. That's when I read the surprisingly good reviews. Blitz, our pretty wild tomcat who usually tears things apart, has loved the cushion since mid-April—so for about 3 months now. He cuddles with it, licks it, gets all excited and relaxed at the same time. And even after all this time, he still does it every now and then. The cushion just lies around here, and when he comes home from his adventures, he snuggles up on it 🐻

Valerian Pillows

Smells awful and the cats ignore it.
