Modern Living Bernie Snack Hunter Cat Toy

I was sceptical when I bought it because there were no pictures of how its meant to be used but since it was cheap i got it. The toy part needs to be pulled on way too hard to free any treats, my cats would basically have to dangle from it! What makes it harder is the lenght of the rope, I made it as short as possible and still cats would have to drag it quite a bit to free the treats. Only good thing is the feathers and silver vine bud which I repurposed for our wand toys.

At first, my cats didn’t really get it, but now they’re crazy about the thing – especially my tomcat. The matatabi stick has already been torn to shreds...

I didn’t expect much for the low price, and the toy looked a bit flimsy when I unpacked it, but it actually works really well and is very popular. Even one of my cats, who usually gets bored or frustrated with puzzle toys quite quickly, understood how it works straight away and really enjoys playing with it. I wouldn’t leave the cats completely unsupervised with it because of the elastic strings, just to be on the safe side, but under supervision it’s great.
