Excellent multi use product for cats

Very easy to construct and really sturdy. This is a cat stairs of a good height, plus a scratcher, plus has a little space for them to hide and play underneath. My cat really enjoys.

Good support for seniors when climbing

We have 4 of these stairs in use because our 18-year-old tomcat can't jump up to high places very well anymore. He uses the stairs to get onto the scratching post or the windowsill. They're just the right height and very stable. Our 11-year-old lady loves hiding places and likes to use the stairs to chill or hide. The downside of any cardboard: if there's an accident (e.g. vomiting), the cardboard gets soggy. But there are replacement steps included for swapping out. It would be great if you could buy individual replacements separately.

Very bad

The very first delivery already arrived with a manufacturing defect. Unfortunately, the second replacement delivery wasn’t 100% flawless either. My cats are still small and therefore quite light. Still, the cardboard box can’t withstand even their low weight and falls apart on one side after a short time. For me, the quality is just not right—especially for a product that’s meant for cats. Definitely not recommended!

Changed my mind

Yesss, it was hard for me to put together. In the end I just used logic... well, I actually assembled it backwards, starting with the sides and ignoring the instructions. Once it was built though, it's absolutely brilliant, really sturdy. I have two adult cats, each around 5 kg, and they're on it all day, climbing up and down, lounging about. It's worth it, but the instructions really should be clearer. Even artificial intelligence said they weren't clear at all!

I love it

Super easy to assemble, the pieces are marked with numbers showing the order they go in, plus instructions. Once put together, it looks really sturdy, with lots of scratching surfaces for the cats to use. Also, the holes make it fun for them when playing, and both my cats fit perfectly inside the space at the same time (they’re small, 3.5kg each). Absolutely brilliant, highly recommended.

Needs improvement

Considering that for the same price you can buy simpler but sturdier scratching posts. Positive: the cats climb on it, scratch their claws, and use it as a bed. It's sturdy enough to hold even two cats at the same time. Negative: the scratching posts inside the structure can't be replaced, and just one fight is enough to destroy everything, so you end up having to throw it away.

It's okay

I have two 17-year-old cats and they both use it. It holds their weight.

doesn't last long

Recommended by a consultant, this cat bed-staircase with compressed cardboard made my cat really happy. But only for a week. Because, as far as I can tell, there are no replacement scratching boards: once the cardboard is shredded by her claws, the whole thing has to be thrown away. Always ask about the implications and downsides of what they're pushing you to buy.

Impossible to assemble

I've put together regular XXL scratching posts in under 30 minutes, but I've been at this one for a week and there's just no way. You can't find a video showing how to assemble it like you can with other products. I'm so frustrated that if I don't manage to do it today, it's going straight in the bin 😡😡

My tomcat loved these stairs

My tomcat loved this staircase—whenever he was in the flat, he’d sit, lie, or sleep on his play stairs. This really annoyed my slightly bigger second cat. After she realised she wasn’t going to get the spot and the tomcat didn’t want to play with her at all, she took a run-up and charged at the side panel like a goat. The staircase then collapsed. The stairs can easily hold two cats of 4–5kg each; the vertical stability is great. But the side panel just couldn’t withstand the impact.

Perfect!!!

It's perfect!!! At first, he was a bit reluctant to use it, but now he uses it all the time—it’s just what he needed for his arthritis problem. The steps are the perfect size so he can reach the top of the desk and the trundle bed. It’s sturdy and doesn’t take up too much space. I wish I’d had it sooner. Plus, the price is great, and it comes with replacements for each step. I’m super happy with the purchase. I can’t give it more stars because there aren’t any more available.

Super scratching stairs

Got it nearly two weeks ago and my cat took to it straight away. It's really sturdy and, most importantly, she lies on every step and even in the hole, which she uses as a little hideaway or sleeping spot. She scratches on it every day and sometimes rattles the steps, just like she would with a regular cardboard box 😜 All in all, I can definitely recommend this staircase.

My cats use this staircase every day

My cats love these stairs. My oldest cat (13) uses them every day to get onto the bed. My young tomcat (3) uses the stairs daily for scratching; he puts his whole body on them and usually scratches right at the top; he weighs 7 kilos, and the stairs hold up.

Mediocre quality

Do not buy this item!! Nothing fits together at all. The notches to assemble the puzzle are not accurate, so it's impossible to put it together. Avoid at all costs!! 30 euros thrown in the bin, but I fully intend to get a refund with photo evidence!

Cat doesn't like it :(

Building it is fun, easy, and straightforward. Each piece of cardboard is numbered, which makes assembly really simple! I kept the punched-out pieces and made something nice out of them :) But – unfortunately, our cat doesn't like this staircase at all.

Doesn’t last

We have to put it back together every day… For €24, it’s expensive for cardboard.

Great product

Both my cats love the scratching staircase. It's also a great climbing aid for our senior cat to get onto the scratching post. I went ahead and ordered a second one straight away.

Not suitable for cats that chew cardboard

One of my cats loves chewing on cardboard and tearing off little pieces. With this staircase, he broke part of the brackets, so now it's almost unusable.

Parts don’t fit together properly

Falls apart easily because the ends don’t stay in place properly and/or don’t fit together. The instructions are unclear.

Fun

My cats are constantly going inside, sharpening their claws or hiding and chasing each other. It's a bit tight for larger breeds (both inside and on the steps). Very easy to assemble and stable (at least for now). I recommend it.
