Best of all I've tried

Was using ultra clumping catsan but our cat was coughing which we put down to dust. Since then we've been trialling eco-conscious brands in pellets. Way less dust but pellets are awful for absorbing smell and sticking properly to poo. Gave this a go and while it is a little dusty there's no cough as it doesn't fly up in the air as much and is plant based, not rock. Also good with smells! He does kick it everywhere a bit cos he likes digging it but I think a bigger tray would help with this.

I mean it lasts long

because all 4 of my cats absolutely refuse to use it. I think it's the smell of the product that puts them off.

Catsan natural

Loved this cat litter at first . But after finding it everywhere after our cat had used it , very annoying hard to pick up. Have broken 2 litter scoops trying to get the clay like litter out when used

litter is all over the appartment

We usually buy catsan super clumping litter, but I thought I would give this a go. It's clumping well but does not do a good job in absorbing the smell and pieces of the litter are all over the place which did not happen with the other version.

Excellent

This cat litter is the best which I ever had. Whats important is 100% natural, absorb perfect so you can keep your tray in good conditions for a good while.

Excellent

No odours and best litter for not tracking. It is expensive and does stick to bottom of litter tray but best cat litter I have ever had.

Excellent cat litter

This cat litter is perfect because it's clumping really well, thin and binds smell efficiently, will definitely buy again!

Clumps really well and is odourless

The cats love the litter so much, sometimes you’d think they’re actually playing with it. I really like that the litter clumps very well and absorbs urine odour effectively. It does create a lot of dust, but for me the other points are more important, since every litter I’ve tried so far has produced a lot of dust.

Quality product

I’m a foster carer and I usually have about ten cats at home every day. I was looking for a litter that could go in the compost instead of the household waste bin. Mission accomplished! This litter is economical, effective, and even the kittens like it. Neutral smell and really clumps well. Now I only use this one, despite the price, and I even recommend it to adopting families.

Which bag has two ends

I've calmed down again. Housework, including changing the cat litter, needs to be quick and efficient, and I don't want to have to worry about the litter spilling out from both ends, nor do I want to have to block one end! Why was it left open?

I like it, but unfortunately the cats don't

I'm still looking for the perfect alternative to bentonite litter. I found this one really very good. No smells, no dust, hardly any litter outside the tray, and compared to other high-quality brands, it's not too expensive either. At the moment, I have four litter boxes with different types of litter, and unfortunately, this one is used the least.

Terrible smell (faulty product??)

Never again! The smell that comes off this after just 2 days is awful! Worse than the smell of pee or poo. And just to be clear: it's not a cleaning issue. I remove the poo and pee and everything, but the product itself stinks. I wonder if there's a quality control problem, given that some people say they don't notice any smell... Also, it's really hard to scrape off the clumped urine from the bottom of the tray. It's seriously solid. I'm going back to Cat's Best even if it's more expensive.

Cats like it

The cats like it, it has the same shape as regular litter. It doesn’t create dust and there’s hardly anything outside the litter box. It’s economical and forms nice clumps, although they sometimes break apart (because my cats often pee on the edge). It smells natural and not unpleasant, and the odour stays well contained—let’s see if that’s still the case when the weather gets muggy. The price is quite expensive for 8 litres, so I’m knocking off one point for that.

The price is outrageous

I paid today (04/06/2026) €6.39 for 10 litres at the supermarket.... So Zooplus is charging three times more! The product is great for my kittens, by the way.

Good... and yet just not quite.

It’s really good of Catsan to consider the environment with this product. I absolutely appreciate that and, with that in mind, I bought a few of these bags. The material is quite lightweight, which is great—you don’t end up lugging around a ton and hurting your back. However, it creates quite a bit of dust when filling the litter tray and also when using a litter scoop. When the pellets go through the holes, it gets pretty dusty. Unfortunately, it also doesn’t trap odours and the product itself has a rather odd, not-so-fresh smell.
