Catsan Ultra Clumping Cat Litter

I buy clumping litter to make cleaning easier. This product does the opposite. It does not form stable clumps — it crumbles when scooped and leaves damp residue stuck to the tray and scoop. Waste can’t be removed cleanly, so the box needs frequent full changes. Not recommended.

I ordered this based on the previous reviews and I have to say I am not disappointed, By far the best clumping kitty litter I have found.

Having tried different types of littler I am back to get 2 bags of this. It is easy to clean every day / clumps very well without becoming cement. Even deep cleaning with a brush and soap is no problem. When my cat jumps out of the box and litter fly's everywhere its easier to pick up by hoover that some of the other litters I have used. It also doesn't smell or stick to my cats paws.

Given the rave reviews about how well this litter holds in scent I thought I'd give it a go. Unfortunately I found that it really didn't clump very well (I had to make the litter twice as deep as I do with Tigerino), and it did not hold in the scent as well as my usual. My boys also disliked it and kicked it up everywhere causing a nice big mess. I'll be sticking with Tigerino.

The litter I have used for years suddenly went out of stock. I then started the laborious search for a replacement. After trying a few different clumping litters I tried this. I have to say this is the best litter I have used, clumps well, not dusty and really easy to clean on a daily basis. I've ordered another 4 as a little worried this will also go out of stock and I'll be back to square one! Highly recommend this litter.

It is so much easier to clean the cat toilet, it really clumps perfekt and it takes the smell away.

I've had cats all my life and this is the best litter by far. It clumps fantastically without crumbling when it's being removed from the tray. Consequently, nothing is left in the tray, so there are no smells and it lasts the full two weeks. I top the levels up to keep the required litter depth. Nearing the end of two weeks, as the depth starts to thin out, liquid can sink to the base of the tray and stick to the bottom. This isn't a problem but keeping a good depth makes removal easier. I wouldn't switch to any other litter.

I have a (large for his age) make kitten. This product is really good. When I have been to other cat owners houses the first thing I smell is the cat litter tray. I have asked people if they can smell this and they say no. Other cat owners have asked what I use because they've not noticed any smell. There is no smell when he has been to the toilet. I don't personally love the smell of the clean litter but I think I only really notice that when I'm topping it up. I fill the tray really deep and just scoop out the clumps. Ive not had to do a full change yet because there is no smell and it looks clean once you take out the clumps. I wouldn't recommend if you have a shallow tray as the clumps stick to the bottom. My only complaint is the price. It's worth it to have no smell and ease of cleaning but I might try another clumping litter that is on offer cheaper. I've had my kitten less than a month. I have 2 very large trays each filed with 15ltrs and am needing to top up one of my trays that he uses more. There is still alot in the tray but so that it doesnt stick to the bottom

So, in my opinion, this litter has been the best for a long time. It clumps well and doesn’t smell, even if you haven’t cleaned it for a while. BUT: Please, when you ship it, please, please pack it better—ideally 2-3 times thicker—because the delivery drivers keep complaining that the stuff is always scattered all over the van. The 15L bags tear open, and even though they’re in a box, the box itself isn’t always properly closed and everything spills out. So please, pack it better!

I bought this litter on sale with some snacks, thinking from the price that it was premium. I haven't had worse litter in years. The clumps fall apart, after a few days there's an unpleasant smell, and even the cats don't like using this litter. I really don't understand the reason for such a price.

Good product but its price has doubled, going from €16 for a 15L bag (in June 2026) to almost €30 now. I’ll buy from another shop...

Very good clumping litter, hardly any dust. My cats love it.

My cat does pee a lot on the edge of the litter tray, so it sticks there of course, but otherwise the litter clumps really well and doesn’t fall apart quickly. There’s no cat toilet smell and it’s completely dust-free. Yes, some small bits do get tracked out on the paws, but that’s happened with every litter I’ve tried so far. An old piece of carpet as a mat helps with that. The price is really steep, but I haven’t found a better litter yet.

I used to buy this cat litter quite often—it was fantastic. Unfortunately, the price isn’t exactly low, so I started looking for other options. During the last promotion, I bought it again and... what a huge disappointment! It clumps poorly—you have to wait a while before you can clean up the “treasures” buried in the litter box without breaking the clumps apart. And the worst part is that it doesn’t mask odours at all. After two days, the litter box just stinks, even with regular cleaning. I don’t recommend it—it’s a waste of money, time, and your nose.

The litter itself is great, I've been using it for several years, but the delivery is absolutely terrible. Zooplus sends 2 bags of 15kg, so 30kg in a single cardboard box. The litter arrives completely burst open and they refuse to refund or send a replacement bag! SHAMEFUL! I will never order litter from them again!

Very effective, but the grains are really, really fine. So they stick easily to the cat’s paws and when it goes wandering around, it spreads them everywhere. A few grains here and there is okay, but after two or three trips, you definitely need to get the hoover out for a good clean. I’ve got two full bags left, I’m going to give them away because I’m fed up with cleaning every day. ;)
