Cat Mate C300 Automatic Feeder

My cat loves this feeder, works great every day.

I bought two Cat Mate feeder bowls (€55!) Neither work!! The instructions are awful, the timer and product care sections are fine but apparently this needs screws?? And has to be screwed into the floor/a base. This is only shown in a picture) with absolutly no actual instructions of what screws, where to actually put them and why you need to cut a peice of the plastic?? When the time for the feedings happen the bowl makes a whirring noise and moves maybe 3cm. Awful product, waste of money.

The locking mechanism didn’t impress our two Siamese cats much, because when we got home, the lid was off... They did have to get used to the turning noise at first, even though I wouldn’t normally call them particularly jumpy cats. Otherwise, it’s a nice device that’s easy to clean.

What was delivered wasn’t a feeder that can be programmed for three meals, despite having three bowls, but only for two. The third one has to be filled manually. It’s going back, as my cat needs at least three meals a day and I want that to be programmable.

We've been using it for two months now. Our kitten managed to open it twice because wet food smells so good and the young cat just won't give up. He scratches and pulls at it, but so far the feeder, which is stuck to the floor, is still intact. Overall, I'm satisfied. When the batteries are weak, it doesn't move all the way, so you need to remember to replace them.
