Interesting, unlike previous experiences, I’m actually satisfied with this filter. I always rinse it thoroughly before first use and also during water changes. I haven’t noticed any grey residue. I prefer to change it more often, not just every 4 weeks, since it’s not as expensive as branded filters.

I've bought them again about 3 times, I change them every 3-4-5 days when I clean the fountain, but they're not as good as the original ones. The originals can be used for 2-3 weeks without getting a film, but these seem to clog the pump after just 3 days. I'll go back to the originals.

The original filters fit just a little bit better. However, I have to change the filters (including the original ones) every two weeks anyway, otherwise deposits start to form. I'll stick with these filters because they're simply much cheaper.

Works well

The filters work better than the original Catit filters because they have more "filling". My cat drank as usual, BUT! – one of my tomcats stopped drinking from the fountain completely. It took me a while to notice and figure out what the problem could be. When I put the original Catit filter back in the fountain (and changed the water), the tomcat started drinking almost immediately. So I recommend owners try it out and watch for any changes in their cats' behaviour. I’ve no idea what bothered the tomcat, but for me, it’s a raised warning finger.
