Our allergic kitty is on an elimination diet: dry Royal Canin Feline Hypoallergenic + Animonda Protect with lamb, and it’s working well. The food is a bit thick, but we mash it up with a little water and it turns into a soup that our cat eats with pleasure. We give her half a tray every other day and also add a pinch of powdered psyllium husk. Now it’s time to try turkey next 😁

I had the lamb + rice variety. Supposedly, it contains 1% rice. So with 1% rice in 100g, you’d expect there to be 1g of rice, or am I getting this wrong? Okay, they use 1g of dry rice, and when it’s cooked, it increases in volume, fair enough. But when I pick out the rice, I end up with at least 30g. Visually, it almost looks like a 50/50 mix. Plus, the rice is firm and not well-cooked. Cats can’t digest that properly at all. Same goes for the rapeseed oil...

My cat has allergies, but she's also extremely picky and has a sensitive stomach. She devours this food, and she often refuses to eat if she doesn't like the taste, so it can be tricky to find something she both enjoys and can tolerate. Her favourite is the one with lamb! Highly recommended.
