Delilah LOVES it!!

Delilah used to eat dry food all the time, she is getting older and had to switch to wet food. The wet food was going well, then she got picky too. There were days she won't eat because she didn't like the flavor. Had problems finding just the flavors she liked, called the pet store and they recommend this brand. It's been a week and so far she LOVES all the flavors.

Love and hate

Male Maine Coon was 5 yrs and female 1 year old when we got them. Male has trouble with his digestion and fur, while the female has no troubles. At arrival they were fed with cheap wet-food from the grocery-store and Royal Canin dry food. We almost choked on the gases he produced so i quickly went for Applaws dry and wetfood from the animalstore. They LOVED it, ran to their bowl tails to the roof each meal-time, but now they dislike the wetfood, and some of the dryfoods. Has it been altered?

My Ragdolls love it

Since switching to Applaws my cats coats have gone super soft and they come running when they hear a tin being opened. Highly recommended.

My cats like it but ...

I have been buying a lot of applaws ...but have not tried the chicken They like this variety a lot but I have several concerns with the product...there is rice in many of their varieties. My holistic vet was not happy about it. I know it makes for a cheap filler but not the best feline nutritional choice. One of my cats just threw up his guts after eating the salmon with parsley. I checked it out and parsley in large amounts is toxic to cats and not necessary. Also Carregean is controversial.

Nothing Like It

This costs twice what I used to pay but it’s worth it. My cats are almost 15 and they were throwing up the pate foods that claimed to be healthier than 9 Lives and the like. Since getting Applaws wet food, it’s been a record amount of time since they have gotten sick or ingested an abnormal amount of water after dinner. I can tell they enjoy it more than any food before!

Fantastic food- saved my cats life!

My cat made national news this week- he is three and a half, and survived a vicious and terrible attack from a local cat hunter. Samson was so healthy, so well fed, and so fit, that he survived TWO life threatening operations, and was strong enough to do so! I can not recommend Applaws enough!!!

My cats are obsessed with this food

We have six cats, ranging in age from 1 to 18 years. They don't agree about much, but they are obsessed with this food, which they get as a treat. And I can't really blame them. The tuna, for instance, looks worryingly similar to something a human would happily eat. This food isn't cheap, but the quality of the ingredients means it's reasonable value. I would recommend this stuff to cheer up any cat who has a poor appetite, is fussy or generally needs a boost.

Vanished in seconds

We just have our 1 year old car a tin as part of a free trial pack - he wolfed it down and is asking for more.

Tasty, but not a complete food

Cats seemed to like it, and it's full of real meat pieces. I realised after ordering it's not a complete food. I do think this should be made more obvious in the title of products on this site, for those who might not check the label, and end up with a very poorly kitty.

Both my cats love this

One of my cats has a skin allergy although I've not been able to fully identify all the triggers. This food seems to be fine for him though & both him & his brother gobble it up every time! It does seem to vary (I buy the tuna & cheese variety) in consistency between batches with some more watery than others & some with yellow cheese vs White & some with bigger chunks of both tuna & cheese than others. All in all a good complementary food along with a complete dry food & not bad value for the quality when you buy in bulk.

Perfect for fussy eaters

My cat suffers from IBS and is a very fussy eater. These cans are the perfect alternative to the "boring" dietary food she normally has and does not affect her condition.

Excellent value

This Applaws is excellent value for money, I think, because it is all meat or fish, with no by products in it like other cat food on the market and is cheaper than compatible food in the supermarkets, such as Encore

Change in recipe

My cat's diet was been changed to nothing but Applaws, because the benefits of solely eating this range, outweighs the increase in price. However, I have noticed there is a distinct change in the Sardine & Mackerel, whereby, the chunks of fish have been replaced with a mushy consistency & it states 5% rice, in the ingredients, although, that is an understatement, because there is, now, a large amount of soaked rice, which I assume has been added, in order, to pad out the meal & in turn reduces the need for whole pieces of fish, which obviously keeps the costs down, at the manufacturing stage, however, the price I pay for the food hasn't decreased. Why do companies change a popular food item, at the risk of losing business? Yes, Applaws is one of the most expensive pet food, but, buying it in large quantities is actually economical, in addition to the fact that, up until these alterations, my cat would eat every single morsel, which meant I wasn't throwing away unwanted/leftover food. Now, I am inundated with tins of food that my cat refuses to eat & Applaws has an extremely disappointed & frustrated customer.

one of my cats cannot eat this without being sick

Not too sure whether it is the food, but the little one eats everything I offer him - including this food, however, cannot keep it in his stomach so I have stopped feeding it. Tried four times, a shame.

A Life Saver

Our 5 year old cat recently had pancreatitis and the vet stated no more rich food (in gravy or jelly), but a bland diet - cooked chicken or white fish. Well the cat soon got fed up with this and then I came across Applaws. Wow he just lapped it up and as it is 100% natural, it is most suited to his diet. What a great product.

Excellent, natural food.

I feed my cats a mixture of natural, real meat foods (such as Applaws) alongside some complete dry food (which I put in the bowl at the same time). Some of the real meat foods are complementary and not complete, so remember to read the labels and make sure you always add some that is marked as 'complete'. I believe in feeding foods that are not full of highly processed meat by-products and I must say that my cats are in excellent condition! They are of a healthy weight and their skin and fur is excellent (no dandruff). If I were to make one criticism about this product is that it isn't organic, so for non-organic food it's quite expensive. But, saying that, I feel it's one of the best foods on the market.

fussy kitten

this is the only 'cat food' our 1 yr old kitten will eat. He has expensive tastes but buying in bulk from zooplus has saved us money. Some tins have more brine than others. Well worth tryiog if like us you have extremely fussy feline friend.

Applaws confirm this is not complete

When I opened the tin it was very different than other Applaws I have bought, which looked like shredded chicken. This was pinker and mushier in comparison. Plus the ingredients are different that the product on the Applaws website. I was confused so contacted Applaws (MPM Products) and they said that this is not the complete food, this is one made for the European market which is a complementary food, there to be mixed with other foods. It is genuine, but not the same as the UK product which is a complete food. Nonetheless, my kitten loves it!!

not a complete food :(

it sounds like a great cat food, but it's not a complete food, so why buy this if you have to add to it May as well buy something that has all the ingredients cats need. Zooplus, please highlight the fact that it is a complimentary food!

The best!

This is the best wet food I've found for my 4mth old. She loves it and the quality is absolutely top-notch. I don't think there's anything better on the market. I only wish they'd do a few more flavours for kittens. The website here suggests it isn't complete, but according to the manufacturer the formula was changed since it was first introduced and it now IS complete.

Soft and moist

My cat really likes these tins of tuna and crab cooked in broth. The food stays tender and he eats it with appetite.

Piščančja prsa in raca

Food ok - desserts not so much

The brand was recommended to us at the shelter, and the food was very well received, but we soon realised it was the reason for some really smelly poos. Regardless of the taste, the odours were very strong. We tried a different food and the smells settled down. Otherwise, I would recommend the brand—it seems to taste really good, and even the smell when you open the can matches what's inside.

Was vomited immediately

I ordered the mix with sardines and mackerel because our cat loves fish, but she ended up throwing up this food every single time. Unfortunately, it was a bad purchase.

Filet z tuńczyka

Favourite filleting knives

These are my princess's favourite fillets. Good price, 38 PLN per kilo of food, of which 75% is tuna, the rest is broth. There's a bit of rice, but it helps with hairballs. She gets it every few days and always eats it up. Alongside Wild Freedom, it's one of the few foods she never gets bored of and always eats eagerly. Judging by the smell and appearance, the contents of Applaws don't differ much from human food.

Pescado de mar

My cats love it

My cats, who are real pains when it comes to food, really like this brand (specifically the Sea Fish and the Tuna with Prawns flavours). The ingredients are shredded and come with some cooking broth.

Pechuga de pollo

Terrible packaging quality for the price

The food is good quality and my cat likes it, but the packaging is terrible. The tin isn’t coated or protected on the inside; it’s just bare metal, which completely transfers a metallic taste to the food. It’s a disgrace that, with such a high price, this product still uses such poor packaging. There are other much cheaper brands on the market that pay attention to this detail and have perfectly protected tins inside. I won’t buy it again until they change the tin.
