Due to all the pesticides and construction, wild birds can now only find limited food. After reading a shocking report by a well-known ornithologist at the time, which highlighted the food shortages, I decided years ago to feed the wild birds in my city of Zurich all year round. I’m amazed by the great variety of birds that have been visiting me daily for years. Shelled sunflower seeds hardly leave any waste. So, top marks!
