Finally, a bed she loves...
After years of buying my golden retriever dog beds that she would actually lie next to and not in (doughnut cushions, mattresses, soft beds, plastic baskets) she discovered an old wicker basket that my relatives bought in 1972 for their first basset hound. She took to it straight away unfortunately the bottom was just about fallen out and it was held together with brown tape so I had to find another.
I bought the 90x70cm basket and she loves it just as much as the old wicker. It's very sturdy and attractive looking, and a good size: big enough for her to partially stretch out and small enough for her to curl up in a ball and still be cosy. I've put her old flat travel mat in the bottom covered with a nice fleecy paw prints blanket and I can't get her out of it! This will now be her bed for life, and I'm very pleased. 5*
